Never been before, and our children are older (10 and 13) so at a bit of a tricky age. However, it was a fraction of the cost of other local(ish)zoos/safari parks and we actually thought it was really good value at £45 for 4 of us. It was a hit all round! We all enjoyed the array of different animals, and they actually read most of the interesting facts on the displays. The bigger go karts were the right size for them both as usually they've got knees up to their ears. The dinosaur trail was nice for a wander, and there are several play areas dotted around that they could have spent longer on. The 13 year old is tall for his age so he unfortunately couldn't go on the indoor soft play (under 160cm) but our 10 year old enjoyed that too. We all rated the loaded chips in the cafe. Spent 5.5 hours in total including lunch and appreciated the marshmallow toasting at the end.

Such a wonderful zoo ! The animals are very well kept, information boards are genuinely interesting and seasonal decorations plentiful. It took us 4.5hrs to visit (including lunch), and we could easily have stayed longer if we also indulged in a bit of soft play or outdoor play. A must see for any family in the area looking for a day out.

My son and I attended the Capybara experience. It was honestly lovely. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and behaved in way that showed true affection for the animals. The park was clean and the animals looked well cared for. Even the camel was trotting around playfully. The capybaras were delightful and we had a full 30 minutes feeding and petting them. The keeper was chatty and answered all our questions. I want to say thank you to all the staff and would highly recommend.

Brilliant place, one of my favourite days out ever as a family. There is just so much to do! One of my children cried as we left at closing as there were things that we hadn't fit in. There is a great selection of animals to visit. I'm always excited to see a pygmy marmoset and my children were happy to see the fennec fox. It's also the first time I've ever seen a beaver! The dinosaur walk and aquarium was a bit of fun. There are things dotted around like a helicopter and digger, and some fun playgrounds, as well as the soft play. The real hit of the day was the area with the swings, barefoot walk, ring toss, etc. The place just also has a really nice feel to it, like a lot of effort has been put into making it a really fun and worthwhile day out.

Absolutely brilliant. Loads to do here. We spent the whole day here from open till close and didn't run out of activities to do, we actually probably couldve done more! The animals were all really quite friendly, especially the goats that allowed the kids to pet. More animals than alot of other places I've been to. Then there's the dinosaurs! So many dinosaurs! There's even a train tour of the dinosaurs land. Baby changing facilities and buggy stations can be found around the while site which comes in really handy. The soft play areas were really clean and well maintained. Lots and lots of seating areas to have some food and a coffee and plenty of baby seats available. There's also an indoor beach just at the back of the gift shop. Only paid £8 entry pp which I think was really cheap for what you get. Travelled over an hour to get here and would do it again!

Brilliant day out, so much to do, see and keep kids interested! Good picnic area and café, plenty of seating. Wide variety of unusual animals, with loads of information about them. Wonderful Dynosaur field and barn with loads of realistic models with more information about them than I have ever found elsewhere! Also nine hole crazy golf! Great day out, worth every penny!

A good place to take the kids for a weekend. Lots of different varieties of things to keep kids occupied - Zoo animals, indoor soft play area, different rides, walk-in enclosures, dinosaur world etc. This place will be an hit during summer, however we went in Jan 2nd week and most of the rides were empty and birds were down with avian flu. A big carpark is available and a cafe to grab some quick snacks.
