At the very start they ensured they understood what we were looking for and made suggestions to be considered. The holiday turned out to be a total triumph. It was everything we wanted and much more than we expected. Stunning locations and accommodation. The game reserves were perfect. Only a small number of guests, and whilst out on a game drive we rarely saw another Jeep. Just a few of us on the vehicle, a knowledgeable guide and the animals. Lots of animals !!!
What an amazing experience we both had in South Africa. All of which was made possible by the support of Terry & Paul of South African secrets. They have so much knowledge and advice that your holiday will feel like you are the only ones they are dealing with. No questions or requests were made to feel awkward. Terry even gave us daily guidance and insured we were confident in our journey around South Africa. Without that support, we may never have seen the beautiful, life changing things we did. We were lucky to stay at the beautiful home they have in South Africa. It was like stopping with family. We both felt so comfortable and looked forward to the night caps out on the patio, watching and listening to the surroundings whilst chatting and laughing with you both. Terry was so supportive with my request to get engaged out in South Africa and made the whole occasion so magical, he liased with the safari lodge and manager to make sure every detail was perfect. Taking the stress out of booking a multiple destination holiday, to providing a personal experience tailoring everything we wanted on this amazing holiday. Terry and Paul could not have been more helpful. The accommodation chosen (clearly they had visited each one before) and the recommendations of what not to miss in South Africa were unbelievable. They even went the extra mile to ensure our travels between destinations were easy and stress free. We'd been looking forward to a holiday of a lifetime and we experienced so much more than we ever thought possible. Initially we provided Paul and Terry with the most basic of outlines - can we spend time in the wine regions and also camp in Kruger Park? From those bare bones Paul and Terry produced us with an itinerary that we thought was incredible. When we experienced the trip it was even better than we could have imagined. Having benefitted from their immense experience and knowledge of South Africa we now have so many fabulous memories of or trip. We have recently returned from a wonderful family trip to Botswana and had a great experience with South African Secrets. The whole trip was very well organised and completely seamless (despite 2 years of covid delays!). Watching the elephants play in the Chobe river was a highlight and champagne in the okavanga delta was best sundowner venue ever. Thanks to Terry and Paul for helping us create memories to last a lifetime!
This small company has the time to ensure that your experience is bespoke to your hopes for your trip to Africa. Paul has amazing knowledge that enables him to listen to what you love and tailor the perfect trip. Paired with Terry's efficient work to pull together the practicalities to make the dream work, no reason to go to Africa with anyone else. Thinking back to our last amazing trip with SAS, with it's magical "hippo at the bedroom window" moment, close up encounter with mating lions (required some patience!) and watching whales from my bed at the stunning Birkenhead House in Hermanus, Terry and Paul put together the right places to make sure we got every experience we were hoping for, and so much more. Don't hesitate, it's a gem to find a company that's small and delivers every time. We have just booked to go again next year!
South African Secrets were recommended to us by a close friend, the recommendation came of the back of organising their honeymoon a few years ago. As this was our honeymoon too we knew we would be in good hands. Paul and Terry organised every last detail, there is not one thing we would have changed about the entire trip. The itinerary was tailor made to our budget and was exceptional value for money. This isn't one of those sole-less, money hungry travel agent's, South African Secrets genuinely cares about you enjoying your trip and making best use of your time. Terry & Paul organised an amazing holiday for us on the Garden Route in South Africa. Their knowledge & attention to detail was clear in the brilliant venues & locations that we visited, finishing with a fantastic safari in Shamwari. Personal service was second to none. One of the best holidays we've ever been on. Would highly recommend them.
