   This vet practice has been excellent with our nervous pup. The vets are patient, gentle and always communicate clearly about treatment and options. The reception staff are friendly and helpful, and the designated cat and dog seating areas at the entrance make visits much calmer. Highly recommend!

   We’ve been with medivet for years, never had an issue and liked some of the staff there but until now our 4 year old dog was only having health checks and going in for minor issues. Now that there’s something wrong and he needs proper care, medivet have not delivered for him. Every time it’s a different vet, usually one that’s only there for a day and doesn’t know where anything is. Every vet gives different advice and makes it impossible to get a clear understanding of what our dog needs. They withhold information and then drop it on you suddenly as if you were to know it all along. The inconsistent and low standard of care I think has led to our dogs suffering more than he needed to so I’m super disappointed and you better believe it has cost us a fortune. They are so profit driven, I do wonder how ethical their practices have become. Just think it’s good for dog owners to know. We are seeking second opinion and a new permanent vet.

   Really disappointed. Please don’t accept any pet plans because they just take your money and give flee and worms treatment. And when your pet really needs they can’t help. They just rip you off.

   I am in the process of making a formal complaint about this vet practice. Without speaking to the legal owner of a dog i.e myself, they have taken the word of a person just caring for it temporarily and put it to sleep without any contact being made with me. We were fully aware that the dog was coming to the end of its life but would have thought they had a duty to contact the legal owner and get their permission to put it to sleep. This has upset the family immensely. Although they have offered to pay for the cremation of the dogs remains this in no way goes towards easing the upset caused by them taking the word of someone who only had temporary care of the dog. I certainly would not recommend this practice to anyone.

   We only bring our dog down to London a few times a year, and so we don’t have a regular local vet. After we suspected he had swallowed some plastic, we called Medivet Woolwich, and they were SO helpful. The receptionist was very friendly and calming and knew what to do, speaking to the vet immediately and informing us how long it would take to arrive, as they were prepared to see us straight away. Fortunately, it ended up being a false alarm, so we didn’t end up receiving veterinary care this time; but it is good to know that we have such an amazing practice nearby with excellent staff! Our thanks to all involved!

   Great vet clinic. Paula was very kind arranging a last minute emergency appointment, while other clinics denied that without hearing how ill my puppy was at the time. Vet Anitta was super caring and loving with my dog. It’s so nice to see a vet that truthfully likes what she does.
