Wow, I attended a self defence group session and Hannah and Kieran and they were outstanding. They were amazing with us and tailored the session to us as individuals. I came out that session with much more confidence In knowing how to get out of tough situations. Highly recommend. Thank you
Attended a private self-defence class led by Kieran and Hannah this weekend. Honestly didn’t know what to expect from the class as we were all complete beginners but it was such a fantastic experience. Both were great and worked at our pace. They broke down each move, were very attentive and made sure we were all safe. Came away from the class with some real life skills and the confidence to know how to keep safe. Would 100% recommend!!
Attended the women's open mat organised by Hannah and it was fantastic. Everyone was really welcoming as soon as you walk in. Had some great rolls and met some amazing women. Definitely recommend!
For a sport that doesn’t seem to have a lot of women representation, Hannah is really bringing as many of us together as she can! Very warm and welcoming, comfortable and safe atmosphere and couldn’t recommend the women’s only open mats enough.
I recently signed up for the 8 weeks beginners Jiu-jitsu course. It has been a very positive experience so far. The training itself is certainly challenging in many ways. Despite having to step out of my comfort zone, I absolutely love the atmosphere. Members are friendly and welcoming. The coaching is well structured, supportive and patient. I 100% recommend Starkey Martial Arts!

Fully recommend this club - wonderful instructors and high level athletes. The women’s open mats in particular are fantastic. Hannah is doing such a service for ladies who want to get into combat sport.
