   I called this Vet today on the advice of the RSPCA regarding a young stray cat who needs urgent medical attention for his eye. We have been looking after this poor traumatised cat for a few weeks, and today I needed help for his infected eye. I was absolutely horrified when the lady [who refused to give her name] said to me that the vets consultation is £69 and the RSPCA voucher is only £60 and since i made the choice to feed the poor cat, the medical bills was my responsibility. The vet is clearly abusing the RSPCA money to pocket themselves and not put their duty of care and the animals welfare first. She repeatedly said this to me which i found very insulting and insensitive. I have reported them to the RSPCA and advise that no one takes their pets to this vet and they are only interested in how much money they can pocket and refuse to help injured, sick and vulnerable pets. The tone and mannerism of this lady was so rude and heartless. In the end another lady came to the phone and said she was going to terminate the call and left this poor cat without urgent medical assistance. I will share the audio recording with their regulator for further investigation.

   As always extremely happy with our consultation at Alma vets. Felt that everything was explained and feel that a conservative approach of rest and painkillers was taken rather than suggesting tests and x-rays. Reception staff are always delightful and helpful.

   They saved our 11 year old Labrador’s life. We never had any health issues untill our dog woke up one morning and refused to eat, drink or could barely walk. We managed to get an appointment almost immediately and our dog has been left at Alma Vets overnight under emergency care for what happened to be acute pancreatitis. I can’t thank you enough for looking after our dog with so much love, care and professionalism.

   I can't praise Alma Vets enough. The care, compassion and attention to detail to ensure Benny had a good experience was outstanding. Their aftercare has been superb too. He slept off his sedative and despite having 10 teeth out is in good spirits today. I can't think you enough.

   My dog wasn't quite right and ended up needing major surgery. All the vets and vet nurses were brilliant and very caring. So lovely to hear that they treat all dogs as per their personalities, my little lady isn't crate trained and when she was up to it was allowed out to wonder around (it was a weekend) and have cuddles with the staff. Thank you for getting her through a really tough time. xx

   The most professional and personal service for my rescue English Bull Terrier who has various health issues, but has separation anxiety and dementia. They changed the way they treated her giving her the uppermost care and love, keeping us informed at all times. I am blown away by their care for her, going way above and beyond. I would never take my pets anywhere else. I recommend Alma unreservedly.

   I have used Alma Vets for nearly 22 years. I have always found all the vets, all the nurses and all the reception staff to be kind, caring, friendly and professional. Some truly outstanding knowledgeable vets, who always do the least intrustive treatments necessary to get the job done, but not stress the animal. Their kindness with the animals and their commitment to keeping them calm and stress free is highly desirable. They also spend the time to ensure that as an owner you fully understand your pets condition, the different options available and all the risks and benefits of each option. I cannot recommend this veterinary practice enough.

   The care given by this vets surgery is second to none and I have been going to them for a great many years. Some of my dogs have developed problems over the years and they have always been treated with expert knowldge and surgery when needed. I cannot recommend this surgery highly enough for their care. All staff from the Vets themselves to the nurses and reception are superb.
