Very attentive, knowledgeable vets. Spayed my lab and gave excellent post op care. Dealt with my other, reactive, lab with understanding and patience. Reception staff are fantastic too.
I have been using this surgery for many years and have seen many changes. Since it has been taken over by a company, it has taken a while to make it feel as personal as before when privately owned. There seems to have been a huge staff change but the girls are always polite and caring. What makes the surgery more personal is that the same wonderful vets have been there a long time. Would definitely recommend

My first engagement with 1st Vets. I'm impressed. Great staff, all very friendly. My dog needed a dental (plaque removal and associated extractions), and they quoted a competitive price, which i found to be very reasonable indeed. Thoroughly recommended.
I couldn’t recommend Pets 1st Vets more strongly if I tried. The fantastic team of vets, nurses and reception staff are truly first class, treating every visitor like a friend and always going above and beyond no matter how minor the reason for the appointment. We have been going to Pets 1st Vets for many years and they have been incredible support for my poorly rabbit Honey. Their care saved her life more times than I can count. However, it is the genuine love and care for animals shown by the team at Pets 1st Vets that keeps us coming back to this clinic, and I fully trust that my pets are in safe hands. If only they treated humans too!
A few days ago, I got information that my Stolen cat was brought to sterilization. The next day we went to pick her up. Unfortunately, the vet doctor sterilized the Bengal cat. After the fact, he scanned the cat and it turned out that the people who brought the cat are not the owners. I think that first had to scan the cat and only if everything is correct, perform the procedure. At home, I have a male with a long line pedigree. Kittens , unfortunately will no longer be from this relationship. 3 stars for info and care.

A number of bad experiences with this vet. Locum vet they had in was dismissed by them due to a number of errors. Told me my dogs infection had gone away when another vet said it was clearly still there and stopped treatment for a whole week when it should have been continued. Have since moved vets and for 6 weeks have been chasing for my dogs medical history so they can be treated properly by the new vet but the team at Runnymede just don’t reply. I’m now having to report them to the various bodies. AVOID!
Cat came home limping, no obvious cause, but was clearly in pain so phoned the vets, got seen, treated and home again in under a hour. Not bad you say, I say in todays climate - excellent especially as it was a Saturday. Thoroughly recommend this vets to anyone. Thank you.
We cannot fault this veterinary practice. They are busy for a reason - they offer great service, handle a variety of issues and perform surgeries. Whilst we would love for prices to be just that bit lower (like anyone), they are the best practice we've ever encountered. Attentive, well staffed, listen to you and you never feel rushed.
