   ⭐️ First and last time visiting Hensol Golf Range This was my first and last visit to Hensol Golf Range. The range itself is okay, with around 22 bays available and an automatic ball system, which is handy, but the place looks a bit scruffy and poorly maintained — there were cobwebs everywhere and even smashed mirrors, which doesn’t leave the best impression. They also sell clothes and shoes on site, but there’s no hot food available. On a positive note, the toilets were decent and clean. You can walk in, but you also have the option to book online, which is convenient. You tend to pay for the amount of time you’re there rather than the number of balls, and it is slightly cheaper than Cardiff Golf Centre, which may suit some people. It is slightly fun and a bit different from other golf ranges, as there are unusual targets to aim for such as tyres, a car, a trampoline, and a keg, and there are also games you can play against each other. Just make sure you take a debit card, as the business clearly prefers card payments. Customer service was mixed. One older, dark-haired assistant was quite impolite when I tried to pay cash for snacks (which staff have to retrieve from the vending machine) and said I could use Apple Wallet, which wasn’t actually true. However, another assistant with grey hair was very helpful and went above and beyond, which I really appreciated. Overall, it wasn’t a great visit for me, and although Hensol is slightly cheaper and offers some quirky features, I still prefer Cardiff Golf Centre — the staff there are much friendlier and the experience feels more welcoming.

   My son and I have been using the range here for a number of months now. It's a beautiful facility, lots of games on the tracker system to help entertain complete novices like us. Staff are always helpful and polite. We have also now had our first lessons with Harry, he couldn't have been better, puts you at ease and so patient with both myself and my 13 year old son. So much so we have already rebooked with him. If you are thinking about getting in to golf but like I was unsure of where to start, you will not find a more welcoming and friendly place than here

   In a word ‘outstanding’. Great facilities. A well stocked shop selling everything you could possibly think of that’s golf related and then some. I had clubs custom fitted for free by the very knowledgeable and capable Lloyd. And I regularly frequent the place for practice and lessons with Dan Spalding. Dan has helped improve my swing dynamics and taken it to another level. As an experienced former tour player, Dans knowledge and teaching ability is unequivocal! It helps that the staff work as a team and it’s clear in their friendly, professional approach to their work ethics why they are the No.1 driving range in South Wales!

   Went for a putter fitting! ( hey what's in a putter fitting? I said to myself!) Young man explained alot of different things to me and gave me alot of choice and time! Absolutely brilliant. I bought a putter that I'd never think about buying. I'm annoyed with my myself as I can't remember his name! Tall young curly weged hair! Top guy!. Tip! Don't look at the prices of the putters! Just try and see what's best for you, then just buy it! Putter most used club apparently, so cost shouldn't come into it!. Great set up. Thanks

   Had an Iron set Club Fitting here at Hensol Golf Academy with Aled Griffiths. All I can say is that the service, facilities and expertise were fantastic. Aled, was clearly very experienced and knowledgeable about his craft. He was able to taylor the fitting to my needs/wants and to what he perceived to be the best fit for my current and future game. I would highly recommend a custom fitting or a lesson with Aled. Fantastic!

   Had a fitting with at Hensol, he kept telling me that I needed a heavier shaft. I ended up with Nippon shaft with P790. my game nosedived and my handicap has gone up, so I went for a lesson, only to be told that I should have not been sold these shafts. I tried a graphite shaft and there was a massive difference, I was wrongly fitted into a heavier shaft were I should have gone lighter, I would not recommend Hensl golf academy to anyone, I Feel I have been ripped off. as you can imagine the P790 was not a cheap set to buy.
