We do enjoy going to the beefeater for breakfast, so thought we would try some lunch there.... Never again. The chicken is so processed it feels like rubber in your mouth, the burger was dry, and the loaded chips are chips with sauce put on them and two pieces of spring onion. This being said the breakfast is well worth going to. I have attached the chicken that came in a chicken and rib combo to this review.

Excellent service, all waitresses were courteous and friendly. The fillet steak I ordered wasn't great, extremely difficult to cut. I raised this with a staff member and they made an exchange without delay. I tried the steak sauce for the first and last time. This wasn't too my taste at all, some may find it good though. Overall it was ok. I will definitely return again, hoping for a better experience next time.

Services was very good, it was quite quiet so not much of at atmosphere. The smash burger was very disappointing, only the edged seemed β€œsmashed” the rest of the burger was very dense and lacked flavour. Not great value for money.

Absolutely enjoyed this Beefeater. I was there a few days. Great atmosphere and restaurant is cut off from the bar area. I enjoyed Beef and ale pie one night and the next one a lasagne. Both nights we were served by a friendly server named Jenny. She was polite and friendly which made the experience a whole lot better. Thank you so much, we will be back!

We came in after a graduation in the ICC. The online booking system made out that there were no tables for an hour but this wasn’t the case when we turned up so do try turning up if you’re not sure. The food was okay, pretty average for β€˜pub grub’. The service was good and pretty quick, our server was attentive and friendly. I would recommend popping in if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat, but probably not if you’re looking for something particularly good/special.

We went for the festive menu which is a good price. The starters were fine but not really exciting. I had the posh prawn cocktail and my husband had the pate. Both were fine and infact better than the mains. We both had the beef wellington which was deconstructed. So it was a bed of pastry stuffed with spinach and on top 8oz sliced steak with mushrooms. The special gravy was nice that it came with but the roast potators were floury and tasted like frozen ones. We could not eat them. The steak however was cooked to our liking and was quite tender. I asked for medium rare and my husband had medium which was what we wanted but the meal was not very hot overall. It would have been difficult to reheat without spoiling the steak. This meal was just OK as the mains a little disappointing. The service was speedy and efficient but not very festive.

Went here recently, mid afternoon. Staff friendly, not too many people in the restaurant. Will go back x

The staff that served us was fantastic polite etc ease feeling. Compliments to the chefs food was perfect. Seating was spot on. We had the rack of ribs done to perfection. Thanks to everyone there.

The staff were polite and professional. We were shown to our table and ordered drinks. We had time to look at the menu before ordering our meals. I had the Gammon Egg Pineapple and Chips with garden peas. It came on a hot plate and was very tasty.

Staying in the premier inn for the next couple of weeks so we have to eat here as part of the deal with meal vouchers. this is the first beefeater I've been to. The staff are sound! Very helpful, friendly and welcoming. I can't complaint about them. But unfortunately the food is a huge let down. Every meal we had this week has been a massive disappointment. Burnt chicken, burnt and dry pork ribs. (Meat was stuck to the bone) and all bland in general. I doubt it's just this beefeater, I am guessing the food is pre made somewhere else and it's warmed up again on site? I don't know that's just a guess with how poor the quality of the food is. I'd be embarrassed to serve it if it's like that cooked it from fresh.. The breakfast is decent though, apart from having a soggy black pudding this morning the breakfast service is pretty good this week. Only other complaint is the dust on the lamps. They hang right over your table almost at head height and they're covered in thick dust, looks like they haven't been wiped for years. That's dead skin hanging above my food.. The only reason I'm eating here is because it's paid for by work. Even though it's free, it's still shockingly disappointing..
