So, there were basically two options, the regular platter "Rodizio" or the christmas version that comes with a drink and a dessert. I had the christmas version, -this was something like £45 per person (!), you get a selection of various meats, nearly as much as you want (realistically you're not going to be wanting more) plus unlimited options from the buffet style table which has some roast pork casserole, roast potatoes, mash, stuffing, cold salad options and so on. Generally speaking I found the meats to be greasy, fatty, and not very nice. A lot of the time you're getting the skin and just whatever they cut off to give to you. A lot of the meats were various pork cuts and this was well-seasoned but chewy and fatty. The meat kinda seemed like it was cooked too hot for not long enough, with the beef having a very well done crust, quickly becoming rare and then very raw not even right in the middle of the meat. The only thing I liked was the rump steak, and I left a lot of that as it was fatty and extremely rare. I am having to think pretty hard to think what I actually liked, the mashed potatoes were 50-50, the first portion I had was good but when I went back later the second try was kinda sickly sweet and not nice. The churros were very fine. They have some wines and beers as a selection but no Teran for some insane reason - which in my opinion is the absolute best wine to pair with greasy meats like this. You're paying restaurant prices £5-6 roughly for a drink. The experience took what felt like forever, they wouldn't divide the bill for us so we had to each just pay one at a time for what we had. The staff really were trying but most had thick foreign accents so it was very hard to hear what they were saying as the place was heaving-loud. Just avoid, with the prices here you can go somewhere else and pay half as much for one decent meal in half the time.

Bought a gift voucher for the 14 meats experience for my dad for his birthday and for a man that always finds a negative in everything usually, he came from viva la Brazil Cardiff having had the best evening. The food and the server (female, in her 20s working Sunday 4:15 booking on 7/12) was fantastic apparently. Very attentive and happy. My mum has a very small appetite so just had the salah option and said the standard was fantastic very good options and food. They will be back.

Such a lovely atmosphere as you walk in the main entrance and greeted with a beaming smile. Waited at the small bar before being seated by a very friendly waitress. The meat was absolutely incredible and plentiful. A stop at the salad bar is a must, all freshly laid out. Great music playing whilst you eating and being merry is always fitting. Well done Viva Brazil you will be recommended to everyone I meet. No wander the Springbok Rugby team members dine here when they in town.

Very nice place, excellent quality meat perfect prepared. Friendly staff and good atmosphere! Little bit pricey but expected since it's in centre of Cardiff. Could do with a bit more choice on the buffet side. But overall a really good experience and nice to go home with a big belly full!

We had a fantastic meal at Viva Brazil Cardiff. We were a party of eight celebrating an anniversary on a Sunday evening. The dinner menu was just under £40 per person and included around 14 different meats plus the choice of lots of side dishes. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we did not have to wait very much at all between servings. You help yourself to the side dishes and the staff come around frequently with new choices of meat to try. You have a coaster that you display to let the staff know whether or not your table is ready for a new choice of meat to try. I really enjoyed the Picanha steak and Rump Steak. The crispy fried polenta and mashed potato were also excellent sides. The food was plentiful, so make sure you are hungry before you come to the restaurant. I really enjoyed the evening out and would recommend.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Loved to food and the ambience. And the best is, they have Halal options too. Succulent Lamb and rib eye steak. Loved the chilli chicken. Delicious cuts with Garlic sauce. If you are a meat lover, this is the place to be. Freshly grilled and unlimited. Love to go back.

We went for the full grill experience and would go again! Sides are both healthy and unlimited. We got garlic mashed potato which was amazing and will try that at home. They bring around 15 different kinds of meat to your table and you get as much or as little as you want. Great location. Bit noisy but to be expected on a Saturday night.

First the good bits, the food was fantastic and plentiful there is no denying that, however everything else was slightly off, from the lady at entrance with her feet up barely acknowledging us and telling us to go to the bar, where we were served but had to pay and not add it to the table to the service where it seemed at the wrong pace, really slow to start to a rush to serve meat to having to request dessert. There also seemed to be a language problem with incorrect sides coming and the drinks orders being questioned. Overall this place has a lot of potential once the niggling bits are sorted.

What an amazing experience.1st time visited Saturday 5th March. Everything was explained clearly to us, how it works. Waiter was very much on the ball, friendly and attentive. Price was good for the amount of food we ate, had the chance to have a break by flipping the table mat to NO. Then when ready to eat again turn it back to YES!!!. Very clean, not busy at 12.30, by the time we left, nearly 2hrs later it was very busy, definitely going again.

Excellent service and they fitted us within 30 minutes as we hadn’t booked. I went here with my family consisting of 3 children. Greeted by a lovely guy called Clayton who explained in detail h the menu and how to order as we hand to been here before. The food was excellent and the service superb. No complaints at all, we had to remind them of a side dish we ordered twice but it was busy and didn’t bother us at all. Well deserved 5 stars
