Lovely food and excellent service. Came for daughter’s 21st and was not disappointed. Very understanding when some of the party were running late due to being stuck in roadworks, never felt rushed at all. And very happy to present our beautiful birthday cake. Not local for us but would go again

Have been to The Black Horse a few times and have always enjoyed good food and service. Today’s Sunday/Christmas menu lunch was absolutely wonderful. Food prepared and presented with great care and excellent service. We were a party of 7 and loved the whole experience!

Best place to eat in market Bosworth (in my opinion). Great outside eating area, and cosy inside with a nice menu. We ate at lunch time, menu in the pictures. Loads of parking and serves food until 2:30 in the afternoon. Pricing not over the top either.

A lovely spot to have dinner! This is perfect for a group gathering, or a special night out. There are gluten free options, however the menu online and menu in person differed in the options, so less we’re available in person. If you call ahead on Pie Night, gluten free pie can be made! The fish pie is gluten free as it comes. All of the food was fresh and flavourful, but the soup to start was the star of the show, it was absolutely delicious!

We had a late dinner here without booking, but recommended booking. Monday night is a pie and a glass of wine night. We both had the bbq beef pie with vegetables and potatoes. The food came very quickly with a glass of wine. I had the Eton mess with rhubarb and rose water without the almonds. My husband had the milk chocolate and orange mousse, both desserts were delicious as was the main meal. The staff were polite and the service was very good. They fitted us in without a booking. Will definitely eat here again.

Decent ‘foodie’ type meal for four. Expensive and whilst the food is decent (puddings especially if you ignore the ott decoration) , the environment and staff don’t match up. The toilets were fairly gross. Would try again for lunch but wouldn’t go again for dinner. Relaxing on laurels perhaps.

I came for dinner on the 20th of August for my sister's birthday, with a table of ten. Firstly I'd like to say the food was superb, well worth the money. But sadly our experience fell short there after. The old black horse inn has built a reputation locally as a fine dining establishment. As good as the food was, everything else was lacking. Firstly my parents have been in the drinks industry for 40+ years, and know there trade. So when it came to ordering drinks, there looked at the menu, and to there surprise it was woeful. My father asked the waitress what sherry they had, he asked for a Fino, a dry sherry. The young women didn't have a clue what a fino was, and responded by saying we've got Harvey's cream sherry. To my father's surprise, the waitress then, said they have a fino in the cellar, he was served a Harvey's, not what he wanted. I'll be honest and say there beer range was not representative of a fine dining establishment nor the wine selection. Everything on there menu I could get through my local tesco, or majestic wines. Nothing exciting. I also think, the staff needs some serious training. When asked no one knew what specials were on that Saturday evening, no one knew, about the wines when asked. I hope the management see this and make changes.

Lovely Sunday Roast. Booked online for 2 people for Sunday lunch. Really friendly service from staff. Food was really well cooked and extremely tasty. Excellent roast potatoes and parsnips. Cheesecake was a perfect ending to the meal, very tasty and filling, the salted caramel sauce was great. Clean, has good toilets and car park at rear of the building. Definitely will be going back.
