   Slow to none email responses (and who would call a therapist on the phone who may be in the middle of a session?) I give 3 stars, which is the current Google review rating, so I won’t alter the score, as I think could be a wonderful therapist. However, please don’t choose to contact in a mental health crisis as no replies for days and days - or just not at all. Don’t contact through the BACP website contact form as no response.

   I thought long and hard about leaving a negative review, but I think I will. I made an appointment with Jan for an initial session to see if we would be compatible. I double-checked the time and day and was there bang on time... no reply to the doorbell, no reply to a knock, and no answer when I phoned her number. I emailed her about it and I have not had a reply 24 hours later. I am only thankful that I am not emotionally vulnerable or suicidal right now. I know emergencies can happen and I'd like to think the best, but receiving nothing before, at the time or after the proposed session regarding cancellation seems off.

   Jan is absolutely amazing at her job and an incredible person. Her knowledge on mental health is never ending- and she is so passionate. I have tried a few therapists over the years, but none have ever tried to teach me the main thing “understanding myself” like jan has. I find every session so interesting and I learn so much about myself and about the human brain in general. If I have any difficulties out of sessions, jan Is always willing to help me where possible. Amazing lady. Highly recommend
