I found the Laurel Centre to be a fantastic place for what was required and it was totally life changing for me. The advice help and information that I received was in my opinion second to none. What you need to remember with places of this kind is that they are not places of magic. You can’t expect to walk in the door and hey presto I am cured that’s all fantastic now let’s get on with our lives as if nothing ever happened. They are places of learning, development, guidance and coaching. That it also the very point most people miss guidance. You have to put yourself in a position to learn, listen and guide yourself from the information gained. The effort to develop and change is all your own. There are no magic wands there, all the effort is yours and yours alone but with the help and guidance from the excellent team, who believe me, again in my opinion, go above and beyond to help you more than you could ever realize, change is well within anyone’s reach. No doubt some will say they are only in it for the money or they are brainwashing you, rubbish from what they charge and how much they help and advise you then it’s extremely cheap. As for brainwashing that’s easy stop watching the news on TV and listening to everything on social media. Remember they are helping you change your life but only if you want it and are willing to put the effort in.

Sadly unhelpful and a waste of money.

In my experience, damaging, unethical, toxic and abusive.

My sister had marriage problems. I raised concerns about oversight and management of team members. Was offered a meeting with Paula to discuss. She then cancelled on advice of her ‘mentor’. What a joke. Paula’s name is above the door but she can’t even decide wether she can discuss process (not client info) with a concerned relative (have the email to prove). The counselling here was a joke and didn’t help at all. I blame the appalling ‘support’ offered by this joke of an outfit. Avoid, this ‘business’ at all costs. And I say business because they’re main concern is milking anxious women for all their worth. Normally if a husband wrote this they could discount the review as sour grapes but I’m a brother and so have no axe to grind in the counselling at all. I only wanted the best for my sister and her family and wanted to ensure she was getting quality help with some form of review and oversight of what was being charged for.
