   The cottage is not only well-equipped from toiletries to kitchen equipment but has everything to make a stay idyllic in the winter or the summer. The terrace is a treat with its views of rolling hills, and decorated with fairy lights glowing around the balcony. The cottage is near picturesque villages such as Barley and Downham as well as wonderful walks. Anne was on hand to help make our stay an absolute delight.

   Lovely cottage in the pretty village of Blacko, not far from Nelson. The location is perfect for exploring the Lancashire/Yorkshire border area, the Dales or the Forest of Bowland. The cottage has two good-sized double bedrooms with loads of storage space. One has a great view towards Pendle Hill. The bathroom has a shower over the bath, with plenty of water pressure and hot water on demand. Downstairs there’s a large kitchen/dining room which is well equipped with 2 ring electric hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle etc. The kitchen leads to a large but cozy living room/lounge with two sofas and a gas-fired hearth. This room has a huge window which makes the most of the beautiful view. From the lounge, a door leads onto a balcony where you can enjoy the afternoon sun, looking across the meadows to the hills on the other side of the valley.
