The folks here are brilliant. Very experienced and always willing to share advice. We've had Bearded Dragons in the past, and now we have a Royal python, and they have had long, healthy and happy lives, thanks to hints and tips from Dragon Reptiles.
This shop has by far the best and most healthy animals in the area. All enclosures are spotless and the staff are so knowledgeable even to the point where I had over an hours conversation with them about items i was going to buy (after getting information elsewhere) that weren’t required saving me a small fortune. They only want the best for the animals and not to make money like all the other shops close by. One million percent recommend…
Normally love this place as staff are normally very friendly and helpful but when shopping for new equipment for our upgraded snake enclosure we chose items which seemed suitable after doing our own research and the information we have received, but the person in the shop today was quite condescending and quite frankly looked down at us and made us feel like we knew nothing about the care of our reptiles. I understand there’s a lot of different and misinformation out there but we can only go on the information we had at the time.
Hidden at the back of the petshop this place is great. Friendly staff who are happy to chat and they had lots of stock. From spiders to tortoises. We got some really nice quality soil for our giant African land snails. Definitely worth a mooch.
Popped in today to pick up some supplies for my Hognose. Come out over an hour later (a very interesting and entertaining hour) with a huge amount of new information to absorb and no supplies as the guys in the shop informed me my purchases were unessesary. How refreshing that the staff don't try to upsell things you don't need. What a fountain of knowledge they are. The animals are all in pristine condition and obviously very well cared for. This is the place to come for reptiles/ amphibians and supplies. The passion these guys have for the animals shines though and they were so friendly and helpful.
Bought a 2 year old female corn snake from there 2 weeks ago and they couldn’t have made it easier and couldn’t have been more helpful she’s been eating nicely and has taken 2 mice without any problems and settled in very well also a very friendly snake as was handled all the time in the shop before I purchased it 10/10 would recommend
I went there to buy a snake. The member of staff who served me was very knowledgeable, friendly and polite. The snake was for my daughter and he let her hold them and decide which would be the best match for her to do with the breed and personality of the snake. Can't recommend highly enough and will only be shopping here from now on.
Called into Dragon Reptiles about 10 days ago and it was an extremely pleasant visit. everything was clean, tidy and well stocked also the prices compared to others seemed reasonable. Best of all was the staff, all were very knowledgeable, helpfull and had time to talk and give helpfull advice even though they were quite busy with people buying food etc (for pets). Learned a lot and will definitely be going back there.
After visiting Dragon reptiles I went away in awe with the selection of acrylic enclosures on offer, this was a few months ago, when I returned recently the selection had withered dramatically- showing that they were very popular. For enclosures and decor for said enclosures I highly reccomend you, and for your selection of live food. I was somewhat disappointed in regards to the prices of certain inverts; whilst I understand the need to make a profit and not just break even on the products that you buy from your suppliers, you should at least be able to pass a decent saving on to your customers... you may be able to do this with reptiles etc but I haven't noticed a great saving with inverts- compared to other places here in Wales or online stores. Overall, I would visit your store again in the future and possibly buy inverts if I couldn't source them elsewhere first. Just hoping that my review doesn't receive any sarcasm as you have given to other reviewers. I have been nothing but polite and truthful. I hope you can reciprocate the politeness and lack of sarcasm if you should wish to reply. I did not in any way 'slag' your business off, and as for you using what could be misconstrued by some as derogatory and defamatory remarks (you people), I will most definitely not be returning to your store. My review was honest and fair, if you don't want people's opinions then make a request to Google to have the review section of your website altered to either not have any reviews or to be blocked from having new reviews added. I am sorry to hear that the staff member has a funeral to pay for, my sincere deepest condolences to her. Businesses have negative and positive reviews all the time, but I can honestly say this is the first time I have ever encountered such rudeness. Yes, these are in fact difficult times for everyone, we are all going through tough times. I am in no way a coward, nor do I post 'cowardly nonsense'. Also; referring to 'what you think in your head' yet another thing that can be misconstrued by some as an attack on those with mental health, this is not the first reply you have given someone referring to what is in their head. SHAME ON YOU SIMON! Finally, "trying to run a business into the ground"- wow, if one 3 star review is going ro run your business into the ground then my apologies. If anything is going to run your business into the ground it will be your nonchalant attitude. My review clearly stated that I recommended people to go to your store, but after this I highly doubt people will want to visit and deal with a highly strung individual such as yourself. I would come down and see you personally but then that's just giving you the attention that you so desperately seem to crave, not to mention a waste of my time and resources. I truly hope that whoever gives you a review less than 5* in the future gets a far better reply than what you have given me and others. Also, mentioning another reviewer in your reply to me, that has absolutely no baring in my review.
Bought my little Crested gecko Dini (after Houdini) from these guys (the lady that showed/sold me him knows why lol) just under 2 weeks ago he was more white/sandy when i bought him but goes this color more often then the original, really helpful staff, she seemed to know what was what especially compared to some other places we went to, if you see this an remember me (big guy beard, we had a runner :P) have your dairy cow isopods become available yet? would recommend this store
