Fab vets; we moved here after a well known private equity firm took over our previous vets which was a catalyst for change in culture and care. These guys do care, staff are lovely and now care do our 3 (soon to be 4) dogs and 2 cats.
Neo's been a patient for a couple of yrs. But in July this year Neo underwent a double hip operation. I can't tell you what it was like apart from it was the most stressful time of my life. But without Emma (Proprietor of Star Veterinary clinic Head of Physiotherapy &Hydrotherapy Team. Hollee, Dani, Sam. Who have all helped with Neo's rehabilitation. Thankyou is never enough under the circumstances We're both extremely Gratefull to Everyone at Star Vets.
This is, without a doubt, the best Vets we have ever used, the staff genuinely care about the animals they treat. Every visit confirms their dedication; the entire team are professional, warm and highly skilled. Highly recommended for anyone who considers their pet family.

She had taken poorly and needed to stay in on IVs and drips for fluids, and they made her feel as comfortable as possible the whole time. From the moment we arrived, we knew she was in the best possible hands. The vets and nurse that dealt with her were amazing with her – so gentle, kind, and genuinely caring. They did everything they could to find out what was wrong, running tests and keeping such a close eye on her. We were worried sick and feeling anxious, but they kept us updated throughout the day with calls and reassurances, which meant so much to us. It’s clear they truly love the animals they look after, and Winnie was treated like one of their own. We are beyond grateful for their professionalism, compassion, and dedication. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a vet that truly goes above and beyond. We’re so relieved to say that Winnie is finally on the mend! Thank you for looking after our baby.
We moved to the area about a year ago and registered our two cats at S.T.A.R. and I am so happy we did! Everyone who works here is so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. One of our cats has a relatively complex history and Ellie has gone out of her way to really try and understand the root cause of his issues and treat those rather than just addressing the symptoms, and she's always so happy and cheerful whenever we see her. It's always really easy to get an appointment and I'm always pleasantly surprised by the price at the end of our appointment as well (I don't think many people will have ever said that about vet fees before!). I'm so happy we chose S.T.A.R and it's so reassuring knowing that my cats receive the best possible care.

Independent family run. What's not to like! We've been with star vets since Emma and Nicky first set the practice up. Emma was our vet before she set her Independent practice up so it was a given that we'd move with her. We've watched this truly wonderful practice grow over the years and it's been an absolute pleasure to do so. Kind, caring knowledgeable staff who go out of their way to make sure all is well with our gorgeous girlies. Our dogs love coming into the practice so much so that they can be quite overexcited to get through the door! We highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a wonderful vets practice to care for their beloved companions. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever from us. I have had an awful experience with this vet practice, avoid at all cost they just want your money do not care about your pet one bit. They have a huge lack in knowledge and clearly experience too. They talk down to you and will not accept when they have done something wrong. Furthermore, avoid the pet plan as if you decide to cancel early they will hit you with a big bill at the end even when they have done nothing but hinder your pets progression to health and try to put the blame on you!
I cannot praise this practice enough for their caring, supportive and helpful service. Everything they have done for my boy has been wonderful, he even had his dressing dec'd up for Christmas by the fabulous nurses. All the staff are lovely, the atmosphere is calm... all wrapped up in a professional manner. An extra plus for me has been the phone being answered quickly, virtually no waiting at the appointmented time and the vet rooms are so big and spacious, even for my big Great Dane. Well done S. T. A. R. You set the standard high and reached it.
We just wanted to say a huge thank you to you for all the care, compassion and treatment offered to our border collie Bessie during the final two months of her life by everyone at Star Vets. We been with another vet for years, but decided to switch after a family member told us how wonderful the veterinary team and reception team were with their dog. We had the same positive experience and are so grateful that we managed to hear about this practice and that Bessie was so well looked after in the final months of her life.
