Our American Cocker Spaniels were groomed here this week & had a fantastic welcome as well as wonderful grooming. They listened to exactly what I asked for both dogs and the staff are so kind and friendly. Highly recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Don't waste your time. Completely unable to deal with any level of reactive dog, even though they were told time and time again about my dog being nervous and reactive. Stated that it wouldn't be a problem. Took the dog in and was told they couldn't do her. Complete waste of time, they have no idea how to handle an animal unless it is essentially asleep. If you're going to deal with animals, please at least know how to handle with them on a very basic level. Don't tell a customer you can do something when you actually cannot.
Paid for extras that were not done like nails etc. Mentioned this on next visit and no offer of apology at all! Just asked if I wanted it all again and pay it all again. I have had to trim her head already and poo has got tangled as a result of her haor being far too long around her anus. For the price paid it is not acceptable and I will not be returning back.
Wouldn't leave my dog here. One groomer was ragging a dog pulling his ears and snout. Was awful to the dog. Told her if she'd treat my dog this way It wouldn't end nicely. Booked and deposit paid waiting to go in, Requested a refund and left. Said these dogs are peoples family if you're not kind and compassionate towards animals why are you working with them. Would not recommend
Skye boy went there today for his 1st groom at Pets at Home Barry. Came out looking fab..v shiny and his collie coat trimmed and tidied v well. Definitely use again and recommend. Staff v friendly too.
Needed to take my 18 month old Jack Russell to have nails clipped I was more nervous than the dog,very professional in approach and treatment of dog,my dog didn’t know That she was being clipped took a couple of minutes with no fuss.will certainly be visiting again .
My diva of a dog screams when you approach her with nail clippers. The groom room did all her claws swiftly and without fuss. Worth every penny.
Shannon did a brilliant job on our two retrievers who needed some specific butt trimming. They looked fantastic, very smart and were very well looked after.
I have previously used these groomers and returned recently but I wish I didn't in all honesty. My dog was treated well, however, I paid extra for furminator treatment for my double coated dog and it wasn't until I got home they actually only brushed her back. Her neck, sides, bum and belly were not brushed at all meaning I had to shave her tummy as there were lots of small matts (I specifically mentioned these) entirely! Literally the day after it looked like she hadn't even been washed and smelt bad again. I had to book her in somewhere else to rectify the job.
This is the best groom room in Barry the staff are amazing. They have made such a difference to my dog. As a puppy shewas lively and very friendly with everyone. She went to the groom room for her puppy trim and they were fantastic with her. Then I noticed that the vet I went to also had a groomer so I thought I would try her. What an enormous mistake I dropped off a happy lovely puppy and picked upa quivering wreck so was shaking hiding so so scared the cut was horrendous very patchy down to the skin in parts. I was heart broken. My puppy had gone from wanting to say hello to everyone to hiding behind me if people came close. So I went back to the groom room talked to the staff there and they said we need to build up her trust again so they let me just pop in with her they would make a fuss of her then we would go eventually she came around and let them bath her. Now 18 months down the track she is back to her friendly self nearly still a little nervous is a stranger goes to touch her. That is all thanks to the amazing staff at the groom room and the time care and patience they showed her.
