I have been taking my dog to Ellie for a couple of years now, Beau never got on with other groomers but Ellie really took her time with her and Beau now loves her grooming experience. She always comes out looking so well groomed and relaxed! Highly recommend!
Our GSD loves going to Ellie we have been with her for a while now with our previous boy (Dobermann) and now our GSD. I don’t trust a lot of people with my dogs as they are the world to me but Ellie Was and is amazing with both of our dogs. Our Dobermann was a rescue and had skin issues which working with Ellie helped clear it right up and turn his dull coat right around. Our GSD is a nervous girl but firstly SMELLS AMAZING! After being there and looks beautiful but she also is made so comfortable she falls asleep through the whole process. I can’t recommend Ellie enough. So thanks for looking after my worlds every time they are in your care.
WARNING ABOUT THIS GROOMER! After a very good first groom, Husband booked our husky, Polo, in for a second. Upon collection, he was told our dog would not be seen to again because he is too big (36kg) and became too distressed. The groomer also mentioned polo did not like having his chest groomed. We found all of this very strange as polo has been going for professional grooms for years with no problems and loves having his chest touched. He has a wonderful personality and everyone loves him. Anyway, we only just spotted today the awful patchy close shaving on one side of his genitals and lower belly (see photo). We never asked for him to be shaved and I'm horrified that polo was caused distress by being shaved in such an intimate place (no wonder he cried, with someone taking clippers to his private parts!). I feel the situation is all the worse because the groomer never owned up to what she did wrong, she kept quiet hoping we wouldn't notice. Update: a very unpleasant phone call with the groomer left us shocked at their complete lack of remorse and professionalism. We're still not sure why they went at Polo's intimate area with clippers, I've actually been in tears thinking how it must have frightened him. No dog should be shaved without prior consultation with the owner. Although we have received a refund, for us it's not about money, we're upset that we trusted these people with our dog and not only did they do an awful job, they refused to own their mistake and have offered no genuine apology.
Hi Cordelia I am the Proprietor of the business, I am very sorry you feel that way regarding your dogs groom. Did you contact the member of my staff before you wrote this review and explained your disappointment to her? I believe she has been in contact with you after reading this review and offered you a full refund. It is very unfortunate but sometimes in our 16 years of trading we do have to turn dogs away due to being positioned in a residential area. As lovely as they maybe, if they are stressed and 'loud' while the groom is being carried out we do not have an option. On this occasion due to the warmer weather and windows open, Polo brought himself to the attention of our neighbours trio of dogs and a 'cats chorus' then proceeded. As we have cats on the premises and pride ourselves on a peaceful environment, we had to inform you that a decision was made to decline further grooming of your dog. Again we are very sorry that you were not happy and a full refund will be sent back to you. Kind regard Linda Harris
Ellie is absolutely fantastic. My dogs seem to be relaxed and happy to be groomed here and she always does a brilliant and thorough job. Highly recommended.
