The rooms are stylish and well-decorated. The hotel also has many sitting areas in the lobby, which is nice if you want to chill. The reduced rating is mainly because we had difficulty lowering the temperature at night. Outside was around 5 degrees, and inside was set to 22. Although the issue didn’t resolve until the end of our stay, the staff were very kind to provide a fan and a partial refund. They also offered to change our room, but we didn't have time to take them up on it. My only suggestion is that a room shouldn’t be 22 in winter. A good sleeping temperature is between 16 and 19 °C (Google for reference). Frankly, if someone expects a room this temperature during winter, they should be the one to go to that room, rather than you setting all the rooms to this temperature. A good night's sleep is all that matters for a hotel. That’s why most people book a hotel, to sleep. Everything else is nice to have.

Overall a really lovely hotel and a very enjoyable stay. At check-in the gentleman helped us settle in and took our bags to our room. Service overall was wonderful. The common areas are all lovely. The only slight thing was with our room: the wood floor was in really bad shape and most wall surfaces were scuffed. In all likelihood the common areas were recently renovated and the rooms are next. The room itself, despite appearances, was well appointed and very comfortable. Shower was hot and powerful which, along with the comfortable bed, are really all that’s needed. The location was tremendous. We really enjoyed our stay.

I use the hotel cafe multiple times per week, because of the service, comfort and delicious coffee. Special mention to Serghei for his unfailing friendliness and attentiveness. It’s a lovely place to spend time in for coffee, meals, cocktails. All so tastefully styled too.

I had a wonderful stay at the Holmes Hotel on Chiltern Street in London. The location is fantastic—quiet yet perfectly positioned near Marylebone, with great restaurants, shops, and transport links just a short walk away. The hotel itself is stylish, warm, and full of character, blending classic London charm with modern comfort. The rooms were beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable, making it easy to relax after a busy day in the city. The staff were outstanding throughout my stay: friendly, professional, and always happy to help with recommendations or requests. I would highly recommend the Holmes Hotel to anyone visiting London and would happily stay here again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An unforgettable stay at The Holmes Hotel Marylebone! Our stay at The Holmes Hotel Marylebone was simply outstanding from start to finish. The location could not be better — right in the charming Chiltern Street, surrounded by lovely cafés, small boutiques, and with great access to public transport. Many of London’s major sights are also within easy walking distance. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, full of character and thoughtful little details that make it feel truly special. Even the scent throughout the hotel is delightful! The lobby area offers plenty of inviting spaces, both cozy corners and larger rooms, perfect for relaxing or spending some time between outings. Our room was a very good size, spotlessly clean, with an extremely comfortable bed, quality toiletries, and excellent soundproofing — no city noise at all thanks to the well-insulated windows. Breakfast and room service were both top-notch, with a wide selection and impeccable presentation. What really made our stay exceptional, however, was the staff. Every single member of the team was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. We celebrated a birthday during our stay, and the team went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable experience — something we’ve never encountered even in other five-star hotels we regularly stay at. We can wholeheartedly recommend The Holmes Hotel Marylebone and are already looking forward to our next visit. Truly a home away from home in the heart of London!

Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids lived in this very nice hotel for three nights during March 2023. It is a very nice hotel, with overall nice rooms and very good service. We booked two rooms, one studio suite to serve as day-time room and sleeping accommodation and an additional standard room (a.k.a. "cozy room") to make sleeping for the four of us less crowded. The kids no longer want to share a sofa bed :) There is a significant difference in standard between the studio suite and the standard/cozy room. The studio suite is very nicely furnished, but the cozy room is quite sparsely furnished, and doesn't for instance have bedside lights. So it's rather sterile really. But it didn't matter to us since we spent daytime for the entire family in the studio suite. Recommendation if you want to stay here is to book an upgraded room.

I stayed here for three nights in October 2022 and it will now be my first choice for a hotel in London. The condition and maintenance of the hotel is superb as is the location - easy walking distance to most attractions in London. Reception will easily call a cab for you - otherwise there are many Uber cars around this area. There are three standout areas. Firstly, the staff really engage with you - they laugh with you. That really makes you feel at home in a hotel. Whatever changes I needed to make for the booking was not a problem. Secondly, was the quality of food for breakfast - not every hotel gets this right and having a table service is so much more relaxing than a buffet. Thirdly, quality of the rooms - really excellent. Admittedly, I paid a corporate rate because I was here on business but it would be my personal choice now as I've experienced it. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a great stay at the Holmes! It was fun yet sophisticated vibe and all the staff attentive and courteous. We enjoyed the restaurant for many meals and I found it handy with a tween that wished to sleep in but but I could get some breakfast and still be nearby. The thing that most impressed me most was the staff followed up with a detail well after we departed with a small item we needed. They could have dismissed this item but instead took the time to follow through and really showed that extra step of hospitality and kindness. When we get back to London we would happily stay here again.

We loved our stay at the Holmes hotel. Very cool atmosphere while still being very accommodating for children. The rooms are nice and our family of four fit in a suite. The housekeeping did a fantastic job cleaning every day and bringing us anything extra we needed. The breakfast is delicious and kids eat free. The location was awesome too. It was a great base for seeing all the city has to offer. There are little markets next door to get some food for the kids which we put in our in room fridge. I can't recommend this hotel enough.
