It's for sure, a hidden gem of Leicestershire - located just south of Anstey, it has some magnificent views, especially when you get to the fields, the views are excellent, and there's barely anyone here, although you can subtlety hear the sound of traffic on the Leicester western by pass - it's not to loud and should foe the most part be quiet and relaxing.

Lovely place to run through, walk the dogs through and take the Grandkids exploring in.

This is a lovely unexpected place. Lots of variety from wooded trails to open hills, rivers and little tracks, to majestic views and places to ponder. It’s big yet caters for both short and longer walks. Well cared for and an absolute pleasure. It’s a private place where you can be alone yet there are people around. At times, the A46, which is well hidden, provides the unwelcome intrusive hum of traffic but the beauty of nature drowns this out as your eyes and other senses do the listening. From an old twisted oak tree to the sound of young birds singing there is something to suit all ages, families and single walkers. It really is a lovely surprising city treasure so close to the urban landscape.

Lovely country park to take a walk. Theres a lovely trail of decorated stones that is so long, loads of BlackBerry bushes, many fields of wheat (or is it barley?) Great for long walks, or trail running and I noticed a sign board mentioning orienteering which would be fun to do. Theres a bridge that goes over the dual carriageway which my 4 year old absolutely loved to stand on and watch all the cars zoom by beneath him. We wernt really sure where to park as there was a red barrier down blocking access to what we assumed was the car park for castle hill country park but we could be wrong. There were about 3 spaces before the barrier which we were lucky enough to have got 1 of them when we arrived. So thats where we parked. Would definatly go there again. Only down side is the paths weren't suitable for the pushchair. So probably not the best place to go if ur travelling with a little one. Maybe take a sling instead.

The walks here are amazing especially when you get on top of a hill the views are wow, can see the fields. Nice long walk and some wildlife. Really quiet, good day to spend out for those that love to walk!

Any green space is lovely! This is a nice untouched Country Park with wide footpaths and plenty of benches to rest. My first visit, I didn't realise how big it is. There are other country parks in the county that are far more beautiful though.
