   Wonderful large area of nature just outside the city centre. I've spent well over 70 hours here walking and bird watching over the 3 years I've been in Leicester. I often walk in the mornings and everyone I've spoken with, even just briefly, has been very nice and welcoming. There are many different walking routes - accessible ones and some muddier. It takes about an hour to walk from one end to the other and there are maps situated all around. I'd recommend checking out the Facebook group if you'd like to see some of the nice wildlife photos taken there and the website/app eBird if you want a very thorough overview of the birds there. The main problem is during school holidays when it gets a lot noisier and unfortunately a lot of litter gets left behind.

   Amazing place for a walk with family. Plenty of space with loads of paths. There isn’t any amenities or shops etc hence I’d highly recommend you come equipped with your own stuff.

   I walk here with the dog at least twice a day for around 7 months and I have not got bored of it yet. You have woods, meadows, and nice little beaches for your dog to access the water if it's that way inclined.
