Went last Sunday for a roast with my husband. Lovely welcome with great service to follow. Food was amazing, best Sunday roast in a long time. Would Definitely recommend a visit, you wont be disappointed
Just outside of a jerkwater village, Usk, if following the River Usk. Set in the beautiful green valleys of Monmouthshire. This bistro appears if you were to drive out to Chepstow through the windy country B Road instead of the traffic filled M4 motorway. Stopped here by chance, and what luck we had, they had space for us for a Sunday roast. What a roast dinner it was. Absolutely delicious, and I never had a roast dinner presented to me the way they had. Beautiful stacked up on top of each other with the gravy poured over the top it cascades down like a waterfall on my succulent roast chicken it was divine. The staff were lovely and friendly we will be back that's for sure.
If you are in the area (or indeed a local) don't miss this fantastic bistro. The food was superb, the staff very friendly and helpful, the prices sensible and the wine excellent. This just happened to be our anniversary and it turned out to be one of the best anniversary meals we've had. The only downside is that it was extremely quiet. Extraordinary to us as if this was located in rural Lincolnshire, where we live, it would be packed with service and food this good. So all you locals (and tourists) - use it before you lose it. (The chef even made us a jazzed up dessert when he heard it was our anniversary - home made and as delicious as the main meal)

Fabulous birthday meal at this lovely place. From start to finish we had top service etc. The staff are all very friendly. The food was exceptional! Delicious and every mouthful was cooked beautifully. They put up some balloons and brought our cake out with a smile. Loved it and will definitely be going back We were a large table of 9 people and we all had a lovely time. Thank you to all
Had an amazing experience tonight at The Lodge Bistro . Took my mum and Mum in law who is vegetarian. The service was fantastic Josh advised us on choice and it was all great, tasty and different . Definitely worth a visit like tapas food but with a special edge .. will be visiting again 100%
We came for Sunday lunch with our 5 month old.The place was clean, nicely decorated and a really chilled but sociable atmosphere. The food was great and really reasonably priced.Service was really efficient and the staff were so friendly and lovely. Such a pleasure as sometimes it can be stressful going out with a young baby but our little boy loved it and enjoyed interacting with the staff! Will definitely go back!
We have eaten at the pavilion very many times and had catering at home from Josh and the team at pickled pumpkin. The lodge is no exception when I say they are the best catering/dinning experience company in the area. The service is exemplary, the food is exceptional and the relaxed environment, lighting and decor in which to enjoy it really makes it an all round outstanding experience.
We visited The Lodge Bistro on Saturday night for dinner for two. The low level lighting and relaxed atmosphere made you feel cosy straight away. Drinks prices were really reasonable compared to other places atm. The chicken kiev bon bons, lodge chipolatas, blade of beef and passionfruit cheesecake were really tasty and well cooked/put together. Only feedback would be about the crates the burgers came on, the burgers being served this way makes them quite difficult and messy to eat. We'd definitely recommend and will be coming back to try breakfast and lunch. Thanks for a lovely evening!
