Great service - Handy Experts fitted a new electric shower for me and did a fab job - our plumber was friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and on time, and the finish was really good. Also, great communication from the office. I will definitely use them again.

HandyExperts have done a thorough job completing the work that I needed doing very well. It was a tricky task, and Istvan visited the property on two occasions for surveys, and on the day of the work, he ensured that the work was completed well and without rushing or cutting corners. I appreciate that Istvan left the areas clean, and also that he gave prompt advice when I had a query after the job was complete.

If I could, I would give 0 stars. Plumber came for 15 minutes as he didn't have the equipment to complete the work. We listed out the problems over the phone and they ensured us that it should be fixable within the hour. Very dissapointed as they're charging for the full hour. We understood that call out charges have to be paid, however, 15 minutes and no action is not reasonable at all. The plumber gave a quotation of £1500 EXCLUDING VAT for changing a cartridge in the shower. This is a ridiculous price, especially after finding out how much the labour actually costs.

Have had the most utterly appalling experience with Handy Experts. After using them for years we booked them in to instal our new electric oven and cap the gas on the old one. The gas fitter was very late, no notifications, and basically spent 10 mins on the house but he do turn up and do what he was asked to do I guess. No big deal. The electrician spent all day installing the new cables, and installing the oven. But when left it didn’t work. We called him and he was dismissive and certified his work as up to to code. He wouldn’t come back. Our oven didn’t work. I spent a stressful day on to the retailer and manufacturers who all said it wasn’t installed correctly and would have to charge me to resolve. Eventually handy experts sent another electrician who discovered the wires had come loose when the I’ve was pushed into place. So had been insufficiently wired in and that feels dangerous. Then Handy Experts refuse to acknowledge the issue. Despite the second electrician having told me verbally and in writing that it wasn’t wired correctly. Despite repeated contact with the company they are refusing to own the issue and are now threatening to take me to court. They offered £100 off as a good will gesture off a £700 bill. They have totally dismissed my safety concerns. If I could afford to I’d get legal advice. Utterly disgusting. Will never use again.

I contacted HandyExperts having suddenly no hot water. A plumber attended, spent all day but was unable to restore the hot water. Another plumber was sent by H.E. who did a power flush as suggested by the first plumber, but was unable to restore the hot water. Now without hot water for over 2 weeks. I asked if there was any way of restoring the hot water at least temporarily and was told that this wasn't possible. I had already paid over £800. I contacted a different firm who came and restored my hot water in under 2 hours. H. E. informs me that I owe further payment which I am contesting.

WARNING THEY MAY NOT SHOW UP: The Engineer didn't show up for 8am appointment, no one calls. I call and am told there isn't availability now until Wednesday and to find another company. Outrageous. No explanation why the engineer did not show up and no willingness to find an engineer to rectify the missed appointment just a response that they don't have availability. Based on this STAY CLEAR.

I’ve never had such a great experience with customer service. Jeanette Fisher was very helpful and kind when I originally rang and, when I had a problem, the team solved it immediately and I received a really reasonable and human response from Jordan Levers. I definitely would recommend HandyExperts and will use them again in future because their customer care is so helpful & human.

Great service. Needed to replace a toilet and sink unit. Got a free quote (which is rare in London!), the contractor (Colin) was clear and answered all my questions. The office staff was equally helpful in getting the job organised. The work took a bit longer then expected as the unit had to be cut to fit. He took his time and great care in making the new unit fit seamlessly and I am overjoyed with the results. Thank you!

I am a landlord of a single rental property who has used PGS numerous times in the past and has spent over £1000 this year alone using their services for various jobs in the house. However, I have just had to have my EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) certificate which they charged me £312 for, I have since realised the standard rate for a 3-4 bedroom house is £149. The report came back unsatisfactory and they sent me a quote for remedial work totaling £1030 + VAT. Already, alarm bells were ringing because my mum had recently had the same work done on her property for a few hundred quid. PGS then called me up 30 minutes later and asked if I was happy with the quote, something they have never done before, and asked would they like me to see if they can make it cheaper by taking out any unnecessary work? Why were they sending me a quote of work I didn't need in the first place? I have since gone to an electrical company directly who have quoted me £480 + VAT. I'm a long-standing customer of PGS but they sent me a quote containing around £500 of unnecessary work. At the end of the day, they're just the middle man between you and the trader and I won't be using them again.
