   Booked in my Street Twin for a quick next day service using the handy online booking portal. Dropped it off and had it back two hours later. Whilst chatting to Michael I asked his advice on a couple of things which he then did for free as part of the service. He also gave me a few pointers to sort a few things on my well used bike. I’ll definitely be back. Cheers.

   Thank you Michael for doing an outcall on a Saturday to find out why my bike won’t start. Michael did checked the carberettor and found a block in the fuel line. When the bike finally fired up he charged my battery a bit from his bike and while he was at it, checked my oil level and tires. Definitely will visit his workshop from now on

   Top-tier diagnostic and repair work! After mistakenly jump-starting my bike with an 18V battery instead of 12V, it wouldn’t start at all and showed an error on the dash. The over-voltage had damaged the throttle body sync, causing a complete ECU fault. Micheal diagnosed the issue straight away, explaining that the throttle body sync was no longer communicating with the ECU. He quickly sourced a replacement, installed it, and precisely adjusted it to the bike’s specifications. Within just a few days—working even after hours—he had the bike running perfectly again. His technical skill, clear communication, and commitment to getting the job done right were genuinely impressive. Highly recommended.

   In all my 700 odd reviews this is the worst business I’ve had the misfortune to deal with. After several attempts, I spoke to Michael on the phone and arranged to have a new pair of tyres. I paid in advance for the tyres and fitting. He said he would call me when they arrived. I had to call him and then arranged to have them fitted. I was told 10am Monday. I dropped my bike off at 09:50 and went out for a coffee. Eventually, after no call I went back at 10:45 but saw my bike still where I left it. I asked the guy who was there when I arrived earlier, where Michael was? He said he had phoned him and texted but had no reply. I waited until 11:15, still Michael didn’t arrive or respond to the calls. So I rode off and came back in my car at 12:00. Michael still wasn’t there, so I took my tyres I’d paid for and arranged fitting at another workshop. I’ve since spoken to another person (Alfie?) to get a refund of £45 I paid for the fitting. Full details given, but nothing received yet and no explanation as to why Michael didn’t come to work. To be honest, I wouldn’t trust him to fit the tyres anyway. If he couldn’t be bothered to go to his own business nor let his colleagues know why he’s absent, he is unlikely to be bothered about doing a good job for me. I gave an extra star because at least he ordered the correct size and make of tyre. A great shame really as this place is convenient, but in my experience totally unreliable. I’ve since been back again after Easter. Still Michael wasn’t there, his employee didn’t know where he is and I haven’t been refunded. I definitely wouldn’t recommend anyone to use this place. Unreliable and apparently dishonest too.

   Big jims motorcycles has really help me in all my repairs he's very down to earth honest no surprises in prices he's always willing to help he's help me on repairs doing work on my bike cheaper then normal I've read the reviews posted and they match the work he's done if ur looking for a garage u can trust its definitely big jims motorcycles ive definitely made a friend in this garage nuff love Michael

   Came here yesterday when someone knocked over my bike bending my clutch lever to a point I could barely ride the bike and I needed a quick emergency fix so that I could ride home safely. The mechanic (unfortunately didn’t get his name) was superb and was more than happy to help me out. Extremely kind and helpful customer service!
