Best shoe / leather worker I have found in London. Fixed my belt beautifully in like 5 mins making sure the size was perfect. Then showed me how to clean and buff out some leather trainers I had with the right product. Highly recommended.
Incredible service! I needed two extra oval-shaped holes added to a new watch strap. I first visited a well-known chain beginning with ‘T’, where I was advised that the tool they have for this can only make circular holes. I phoned round 4 other shoe/leather repair shops who all said the same thing, before trying J Rogers - who said I should pop over with the strap. After a quick look, I was told it would be ready in 15 mins. Two perfectly placed, neat holes were added to the strap. And I wasn’t charged a penny! Will definitely be coming back for my shoe repairs. Thank you!
I'm quite disappointed with a pair of shoes I put in to be restored and resoled. My partner kindly dropped a pair of shoes in for me and asked for a leather resole and full polish. The resole I cannot fault it, the quality appears to be very good however, the glue they've used is such an eye sore. It's peeled and flakey and shows a thick crust around the edge of the shoe where the sole meets. And I haven't even worn these yet. It looks like the glue was put on without much care The polish is pretty poor as well. You can see in the photo's how it looks after they were collected by my partner and brought home where I saw them for the first time. I've actually spent 5mins myself polishing them and they look 10x better. Not what I would expect from a professional to be honest. I appreciate they're an old pair of shoes, but they are a decent pair with a little bit of TLC they could have come back better. Reading the comments from the owners suggest they do not like constructive criticism, but when you've paid £110 for a resole and polish and you get what you see in the photo's, it is rather poor craftsmanship. I chose to go here, one because my partner passes by every day and because I prefer supporting a local business over ones like Timpsons, but maybe I got it wrong on this occasion. Hopefully my experience is not a common theme here.
Fixed my bouts within 10 minutes of me being there and they were impeccable once he’s finished with them. Also had keys cut and they worked better than my originals. I’ve searched high and low for someone who knows his craft as my shoes are nothing less than Jimmy Choo etc and this man definitely does!! An absolute find!!
Asked to get two simple keys cut, and I had to come back TWICE as they didn’t work. On the third return I asked for a refund and got a reply that they didn’t ‘believe me’. What sort of business thinks a customer wants to waste an hour of their time coming back and forth over some keys?!? I have better things to do!! No apology, just a tantrum fit when he threw the keys across the room…unbelievable!!!! I’ve never encountered such aggressive behaviour when clearly the product sold does NOT WORK!! AVOID! I went to Timpson and got the job done without a fuss.
Great service, leather soles completed within the same day. Gave extra tips and helpful advice for future shoe care. All around great guy!
Very disappointed by the service. I wanted my trainers to be polished and clearly asked if they were providing this service, which they confirmed. I've shown them the marks that needed to be polished and they said they could do it. I came back and got my shoes with the same marks, charged £10.
Tremendous service with a wonderful sense of humour provided for no extra charge. Unfussed (and reasonably priced!) emergency shoe repair and a proper traditional shop in the City.
