I can't recommend Chislehurst Plumbing and Heating highly enough. I have been using them for a few years now - their service has always been excellent, and all of their engineers have treated me with respect. They have been there for me for emergency situations, they came out promptly last Christmas when I had a boiler leak, and a recent visit from Daniel (Ground) to detect a leak has confirmed to me that this will always be my "go-to" plumbing and heating company. Daniel was polite and respectful and found the source of the problem efficiently. He took off his boots before coming into my flat, and listened to my concerns. Thank you so much to all of you at Chislehurst Plumbing and Heating. You are amazing!

These guys are great! . They booked me a slot with Lee, he turned up on time, Lee explained exactly what was wrong with the boiler, fixed it, job done. I was with British Gas, who always fail to show for appointments, keep you old hold and then hang up and constantly try to make you think you need a new boiler. My British Gas contract will be cancelled and I will now look to use these guys. Im also manager at an estate agents and I will not hesitate to recommend them in future

Have been using this company for years now, always very polite and professional, both on the phone and on site. I find their engineers to be knowledgeable and taking time to talk through the issue and any question you might have. Had a recent visit from Mr Ground who was quick and managed to solve the issue without full replacement.

Daniel Ground was the engineer who came to fix my tap, he went above and beyond to ensure the job was finished to a high standard. Not only did he do a brilliant job but he was very polite, he took his shoes off outside my front door and cleaned up after himself. I also asked him a few questions regarding heating as I have no idea how the boiler works so he advised me on the best way to ensure my heating is right for me and my son. I would highly recommend CP&H. Thank you so much!

Update: Refunded by OpenRent, who have been amazing to deal with; issue of regulatory compliance failure has been referred to Gas Safe. As for the owner’s response… I’ll skip the defamation claim - he can put the money toward a calculator and some communication skills instead while he leaves his professionalism on full display as a warning of what you’ll come across. ——- One simple question. Pages of deflection. Zero answers. Landlords be careful. OpenRent assigned this company through their landlord portal for a routine boiler service on 5 September 2025 — I didn’t choose them. The reception staff were consistently polite and professional by phone and email. They deserve better leadership. Six weeks after the service, the boiler failed. I asked the director, Dan, one straightforward question: was the flexible filling loop disconnected when your engineer left — yes or no? It’s a legal requirement under the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999. Simple factual question. One correct answer. Instead of answering, he: • Called it “irrelevant” (it’s a legal requirement, not a hobby) • Speculated that I was trying to blame my tenant (I wasn’t – I just asked what *his* engineer did) • Offered unsolicited remote diagnoses about expansion vessels and perished membranes (I didn’t ask for a technical essay; I asked a yes/no question) • Made it personal: “Gosh you seem to have a lot of spare time” and “We’ve dealt with people like you before” (what, others who have also questioned your potential regulatory failings?) • Told me to “proceed with small claims court” (will do, thanks). Then came the pièce de résistance: the boiler had failed due to “simple wear and tear” on a “15-year-old” appliance. The boiler was manufactured in 2011 and fitted years later. Even generously, that makes it 14 years old – and last time I checked, boilers don’t come pre-installed on your wall straight off the production line. It’s a fully serviced Vaillant that had never once broken down. But here’s the kicker: if “age-related wear” was genuinely the cause, why wasn’t this mentioned or recorded during the service six weeks earlier? Why not flag it then, so I could plan a replacement before my tenant was left without heating and a flooded kitchen? Presumably because it passed the inspection just fine – until blaming “wear and tear” became convenient. No service note. No photograph of the loop. No record of basic compliance. Just deflection and speculative diagnostics from someone who clearly isn’t qualified to provide expert reports. In the end, his evasiveness answered my question better than honesty ever could. A company with nothing to hide doesn’t write essays about pressure-relief valves — they simply say “yes, we disconnected it” and move on. I had no interest in making this about him. He managed that himself — by demonstrating what appears to be a regulatory breach and then getting defensive about it. Matter being referred to Gas Safe Register and the local Water Regulations Enforcement team as well as Open Rent. The front-of-house staff genuinely deserve better. Prospective customers deserve to know what they’re walking into. Landlords who need clarity and appropriate management: Don’t risk it. And I’ll end with a verbatim extract from Dan: “Proceed with the small claims court. We’ve delt with people like you before. The judge will see what your trying to do, as can I.” [sic] Bly me, how many times have they been taken to court?!

I had a emergency call out through the estate agent as had a large amount of water running in my bathroom. Was told within the hour and arrived in about half an hour which was amazing. The gentleman Oliver who arrived was so lovely and reassuring. Turned our the leak was from an above flat and he made sure there was no further issues for myself before leaving and assured me if it does continue what to do. Found this amazing as I panic in situations like this living on my own with my child and such a quick and reassuring response was exactly what I needed. Lovely experience for a stressful situation.

Contacted Daniel from CPH who responded immediately and came over to review the job. A competitive quote was received the next morning for a new pressurised water system and boosted pressure for all the showers. Installation date was agreed and on the dot of 7-30 am a team of experienced plumbers showed up to carry out the works. I never thought it possible to do this in one day but by 5pm they were all cleared up and everything was working Can highly recommend this company as delighted with works

We had something of an emergency a couple of days ago when a radiator sprang a leak and was damaging the floor and draining the system at the same time. CPH came out the same day and fitted a new radiator and bled the system, with no hassle at all. The engineer (Max, I think) was really helpful and professional. I was super impressed.

I have used CPH a number of times in a private & landlord capacity (boiler replacement, emergency leak repair & sink tap replacement), and the last occasion on behalf our flat management company to repair a leaking mains pipe within a concrete floor. In every case Daniel and his team have been very responsive at short notice and have done an outstanding job at a very reasonable rate. I cannot rate them highly enough, they are a first class company.
