   Cannot praise Cradlers House enough, superb craftsman. Has completely rejuvenated a very old ring ( having previously been informed it was not possible). Other pieces of jewellery mended, cleaned and polished at very reasonable prices. Always polite and very pleasant .

   Went into Cradlers House Jewellery in Leatherhead today to sell 3.5 grams of 999.9 gold, sealed in its original packet. I asked if they buy gold and a woman said yes but when a man came over, he took one glance, saw it was sealed, and immediately refused. He didn’t even want to take a proper look or test it, despite me offering. He just said, “There’s a lot of fakes going around,” and brushed me off with a rude, “I’m gonna pass on it.” Multiple times. Totally unprofessional attitude and a poor experience overall. Wouldn’t recommend.

   I first went to Cradlers House in April to buy some jewellery for my wife for our silver anniversary. I got some really nice pieces at decent prices so very happy. However, Ive been spurred into leaving a review as a short time after the diamond fell out of her engagement ring, lost forever. Cradlers House sourced and set a new diamond for us at a surprisingly low price. It looks lovely, and we couldn't be happier with the service, cost and quality of our experience with this fantastic old school jewellers.

   Went in to look at a watch to buy. Owner was really rude when I wanted to take a photo and / or write down the model or serial number to think about the watch. Also wouldn’t put it aside for us even for a few hours. The way he spoke to us indicated that he really didn’t care about customer service at all. We would have purchased the watch but decided to go elsewhere.

   *AVOID* *AVOID* *AVOID* Took my Longines watch in to get a new battery. Was told to come back in 10 mins. All done - £25 !!! Queried the price, was told it was a 'swiss' battery- Ripped off rotten ! I know they are trying to make money but you shouldn't rip off your good customers. They didn't even give it a little polish or clean either. I am disgusted. Will tell all my friends not to use.

   Vulnerable family member was charged £1200.00 for a second hand Zenith watch repair and service. We understand from other local repair shops £ 300-600 is typical top charge. Unpleasant experience. Originally recommended but has new owners, previous owner has retired. Regardless of lack of full disclosure, the inherited watch was important for sentimental reasons and we had to prioritise having it returned safely. Beware arrogant and aggressive.

   I went to this jewellers after my chain snapped.. they were fantastic, the staff has a look at the brake on the chain and said it will take 7-10 days to fix. After 3 days they rang me to collect it :) not only a fast service the price was brilliant to. Will definitely going back to look at engagement rings. Thank you again. James.
