Two services were carried out for me at this shop, the re-sizing of a ring I bought at the shop and also the re-rhodium plating of a white gold ring I had which had started to show it's age. On the day I was due to collect the rings, I received a call from Richard advising me that the rings were not ready. As I live in North West London and the shop is in Brixton, I was a little put out because I had travelled all the way down there. However, I needn't have worried. Richard arranged to have the rings delvered to my home the next day in person by one of his staff!!! Not only am I hugely impressed with the job done on the rings, I am struggling to think of a better example of customer service that I have received - I'm absolutely blown away. Thank you Richard and the team and I will always use you as my 'go to' Jewellery shop. Ps: Over the last 15 years, aside from the ring I have just bought, I have previously bought two white gold bracelets and a white gold ring from you - so my allegiance is definitely with you. Thanks again!

Very poor customer service from the man and girls that work there. Don’t waste your time

Gave them a silver ring to repair and they did a great job for a very reasonable price. Loose one start because collection was more of a hassle then it should have been. But would definitely use again. Before and after pictures attached.

I’m going to stop hurting myself by coming here - I endured it because I want to support my black businesses but honestly years of poor treatment has to stop now. I’ve come here for about 6 jobs, the staff recognise me and one young lady (with the cool alternative fashion sense) has great customer service skills so I commend her. The rest treat me with contempt for no reason. They say leave my jewellery with them for a week, I return and the job is not done 5 out of 6 times. The man who does the hand work says, “Oh, wait 5 minutes and I’ll do it now.” One time this happened and they did the job wrong, argued with me, told me the jeweller was away and not sure when he would be back. I asked “How is that possible, what is it - a lunch break?” The older woman said “yes”, I said, “ok so what, he’ll be back in an hour or so isn’t it?” She said, “yes”. I said “Ok so let me go shop, return and he can do it for then?” You can feel the flavour of the unnecessary difficulty here. This last time, I called the shop to ask specifically could the job be done while I wait due to the previous occurrences. I spoke to the young lady and let her know I come there all the time + she will recognise me, which is why I am calling to ask ahead so my time isn’t wasted. She spoke to the male jeweller, I asked what day + time would be good for him for me to come in for the job while I wait, he said tomorrow around the same time I was calling. I also confirmed the job price. I went in as agreed, had a new girl (to me) deal with me so I explained, let her know the situation and that I had spoken to her colleague (present) prior. The new girl returned from asking the man and disputed it, I repeated myself, she went back behind to him + returned, the (good) original young woman confirmed to the new girl what I said was correct. I offered to go shopping in the area and return to ease the pressure, the man came out to see who I was and told the new girl to do it. The girl tried to tell me the price was more as I wanted it on the spot - I said no as I had discussed this all already. They agreed. They didn’t want to give me the usual invoice paper as it was on the spot they said. She just asked me to write my name + number on a brown envelope. Shortly after she said he was polishing my item but hadn’t asked me if I wanted that and took my payment. The job was done, he came out with my piece and said I “can’t show up expecting him to stop everything for me”. I said, “I don’t that’s why I called yesterday all of this was agreed.” The work was just ok, not smoothly done (soldering a link). The polishing damaged a non-metal part of my item so clearly it was dipped in liquid which should have been communicated to me so I could choose to have it done or not. If he had used a cloth this part would not have been damaged or even touched at all. The work en masse is ok, a 7-8 out of 10, communication is terrible, customer service is only good and consistent with one worker despite me being a friendly, repeat customer. I paid cash this last time so know they will not refund me or take responsibility for the part of my jewellery they damaged. I am taking the “L” on that one to teach myself a lesson so I’ll end my patronage here.

Very horrible service!! got my nose and ears pierced over there and the gun didn’t go through my nose at all!! now my nose is bleeding and there was no stud inside either. This is unacceptable and a waste of my money. They are not professionals and I should’ve known before entering the shop. Not only that, they have people standing up while doing it.

WARNING: scam, be careful with bot review before…I bought 4 wedding gold rings cost over £900during lockdown. And last week, I came to resell they said to me £270 (even I just buy and keep them in box). The receptionist explained to me the rings are the same new car you buy and resell. Such a silly example. (Note that I kept all receipts and the gold price is more expensive when I bought).

I highly recommend this Brixton jeweller for jewellery repairs. Gold Discount Jewellery repairs provides trustworthy professional expertise and fab friendly customer service at decent prices. Been there: twice for Viv Westwood jewellery repairs which he fixed immediately, once for a new leather strap for my father's treasured watch - straight away he commented that it was by Garrad's and talked interestingly about the company and, with a friend - instead of just offering a quick easy fix for a thin broken wedding ring, he helpfully recommended an additional fix (at no inflated extra cost) in order to avoid a similar breakage in the future. Stellar repairs & service. Thank you

Tremendous bespoke quality service! After going to a number of reputable jewellers, none of their engagement rings drew my attention. This Jeweller came highly recommended and genuinely speaking, that is an understatement. Initially, my husband had a rough idea of what I wanted, but Richard brought this to life during the design process. His attention to detail and craftsmanship is beyond measure and I love my engagement ring! A year later we went back for our wedding rings. Again, these were both spot on to the design brief. Very welcoming team and amazing customer service. Look no further, we will definitely use this company again.

I went in for a piercing. The woman behind the gold counter did it - she did it with a plastic gun not a needle, I got an infection and the earring went inside the pierced hole. I seeked advice from multiple professional piercers after… they all said it happened because she pierced me with a gun not a needle and that i must go to the hospital to get it removed immediately. I got in contact with them showing them my infected ear - they refused to admit/ apologise. Would not recommend this place she had a bad attitude about it on the phone too. Wasn’t even apologetic
