Thank you to the whole team for saving the life of our puppy Mabel. Everyone was so kind during such a stressful situation, even though they are not our normal vets. Due to their quick actions she is now back to her normal cheeky self. Can 100% recommend this practice, a great team.
Got 100% care and service. Friendly .never rushed . Understanding my concerns for my nervous skinny dog and the attention the lovely vet gave both dogs was excellent. I only see two of their vets as I like the continuity between them. Thank you .
This vet practice has been wonderful with our dog since we moved to Somerset. Since a heart murmur was discovered they have been exceptional. Our Lucy dog is not overly confident with strangers but yesterday skipped in to the waiting room, then went into the consulting room and gave her lovely vet a snuggle! No battling to get her in here - she knows they are caring for her. They are never too busy to give advice over the phone if necessary. The best mix of professional and caring.
The staff are incredible! Mila's vet, Louise is so knowledgeable and was calm and confident around Mila which immediately put me at ease. Louise is so kind and caring, answered all of my many questions and helped quickly come up with a plan for Mila. The rest of the staff we have had the pleasure to meet gave Mila so much fuss and immediately made me feel at home here. I genuinely look forward to any future appointments I will have here. Thank you all so much for going above and beyond any veterinary care I have ever witnessed myself.
Visted with Willow for her annual Vaccinations and Edmunds initial health check. Saw Lewis the Vet, whom was diligent,caring and very receptive to my questions Re Ed's health whom is a 3 year old, re-home from Many tears rescue woof, new to our family. Lewis is an absolute credit to this outstanding vet's practice and hospital. Well done the team at Quantock vets Bridgwater.
❗️Avoid quantock vets at all costs❗️ On sunday evening we had to rush milo for an emergency appointment and as our vet was closed and were advised to go to quantock as long as we paid the 215 consult fee. We took milo in as he was in severe pain and distress and they told us this was a life or death situation and they needed to act now as his bladder was blocked. We left a cat and 500 pound lighter as they required a "partial payment to begin treatment" and told us the full cost would be 800-1200. They chucked information down the phone to us leading to believe this would be short lived and hed be home within a day but he would need an extra x,y,z to improve his chances of coming home and to agree to another nights stay. We told quantock multiple times that we need to know the cost as we do not have the finances for it to go over what was first told to us and they kept pushing for an extra night and anti inflammitory medication, urine tests and being vague about the costs but keeping our hopes up that he would 100% be back home tuesday morning. Then tuesday morning passed and tuesday afternoon for them to tell me that he will have to have the catheter replaced again and to stay another night. That alone was £500. On top of what they quoted us as now £1400. When i told them i could not afford an almost 2000 odd pound bill i was given the ultimatum of "well, if he doesnt pee by 6pm we will have to put him down" which devastated us and having to tell my children their little cat of 3 years old will most likely be going to heaven if he cant pass urine by himself within the next two hours. They called again to inform me he didnt and that his bladder was again filling up, telling them i cannot afford it and we will have to go with putting him to rest. But suddenly, they give me a third option that milo could live But only if we paid the 1400 pound bill and give him over to the practice to be put up for adoption IF he survives. We sat in disbelief that this option hadent been told to us from the start, we stood and argued for over an hour asking why all of this information was so vague and why we have to foot the bill for our family pet to never come home to us after all the emotional distress i had to put my family through telling them milo will be going to heaven to have to tell them that he can live just not with us ever again. They threatened debt collectors if we refused to pay the full amount and kicked us out the door once the bill was paid. I am utterly appalled and heartbroken i am exausted and devastated that all our time, money and energy went into this to basically be robbed of everything we have and nothing to show for it and 2 older children who dont understand why their family pet cant come home. I pray you survive milo and wish you the best in hopes that you can find a new home i'm so sorry we couldnt do more. Just know you are forever loved by us and we will miss you always
Quantock were amazing with my young spaniel who can sensitive and lack confidence. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
If i could 0 stars i would of. What a poor clinic. Our dog was currently in labour and had a puppy stuck. They told us to bring her there. For then to be charged £235 for a 10 minute consultation and unless we could pay £2,500 upfront for a c section the only option they said was best was to put our dog down. Thank god we didn't as our dog actually gave birth to 2 puppies 5 minutes after we left which the vet said wouldn't happen. No compassion for our dog what so ever or her welfare. Will be making complaints higher up. Please avoid this vet at all costs. Was quite happy to just put our healthy dog and her pups to sleep. The worst experience ive ever had. Just all about money
We are not actually registered at Quantock vets with our dog, but they kindly allowed us to come over so she could have a laparoscopic spay. Quantock is the nearest vets to us that accommodates this. All went well, staff very friendly, wounds were neat and healed well and recovery was very quick. We had to come back in the evening out of hours for a painkiller injection that day as she seemed uncomfortable, and this was also no problem out of hours, the vet we saw was lovely and reassuring. Highly recommend this surgery.
March 2021 took my cat in treatment covered by insurance. All of a sudden 3rd September 2022 there is an outstanding bill of £54 which is £82.84 now with debt collectors which the first I hear of it is from a letter threatening court action! No courtesy call from the vets to say there is a bill and explain what it's for, nothing in the post regarding this. So disappointed with the customer service. Please be very careful taking your pets here, you may get another bill after treatment 18 months later!
