    *UPDATE* - We were refunded for the one night stay we lost out on. Mirela was great! Happy with this outcome. As a frequent Airbnb client, I was disgusted by how we were treated by our hosts β€œAltido”. We arrived to the property and checked in easily. We left our bags in the room and went to explore Milan for the day. When we returned in the evening (9:30pm) we accidentally, by some freak accident, dropped our keys in a grate in the street in front of the property. We couldn’t reach them. Naturally our first instinct was to call the Altido number. It takes you through to a call center - not even based in Italy - with rude staff who told us there was nothing they could do as it was out of hours. We were shocked - surely they must have an emergency procedure for when things like this happen?! We were two women alone stranded at night in a country where we didn’t speak the language, without our passports and with dying phone battery. We continued to call the company back and explained how desperate we were but they, continuing to be rude, refused to help us. Luckily we were near a police station where they explained that locksmiths were unlikely to be operating at night and advised us to stay in a hotel. We had no choice but to pay out of pocket to stay in a hotel for the night. The next morning they only arrived with new keys at 11am, still being rude and unapologetic. They would not even accept our request for a one night refund. We are disgusted and will never use this company again. The flat itself was covered in hair and had a distinctly unpleasant smell particularly in the bathroom. Can not stress how much I would not recommend this property or this company! Save yourself time, energy and money and look elsewhere!!

    BEWARE of Altido Apartments anywhere - particularly as women traveling alone in a foreign country. It is not safe. You are better off and safer in any cheap hotel as we discovered. My daughter and I were disgusted by how we were treated by our hosts β€œAltido” apartments in central Milan in Via del Bollo in Milan, recently after booking through Airbnb. We arrived at the property and checked in easily. We left our bags in the room and went to explore Milan for the day. When we returned in the evening (9:30pm) we accidentally dropped our keys into a grate in the street in front of the property in the dark. They'd only given us one set. We called the Altido 24/7 number. which takes you through to a call center - not even based in Italy - with rude staff who told us there was nothing they could do as it was out of hours and it was our own fault. We were shocked - surely they must have an emergency procedure for when things like this happen? Nope. None whatsoever. It was our fault and would be please stop bothering them. We were two women alone stranded at night in a country where we didn’t speak the language, without our passports (left inside) and with dying phone battery. We continued to call the company and explained how desperate we were but they refused to help us. We even asked at a nearby police station what we could do - where they explained that locksmiths were unlikely to be operating at night and advised us to stay in a different hotel. We had no choice but to pay out of pocket to stay in a hotel for the night. The cheap hotel incidentally went out of their way to help us / providing us with toiletry kits, phone chargers and translations to try to help us. The next morning someone from Altido apartments only arrived with new keys at 11am after repeated phone calls - telling us how much of a problem we had caused for them. . The hosts would not accept our request for a one-night refund and Airbnb US and Airbnb Italy told us this was at the host's discretion. We since discovered Altido Apartments have properties all over Europe and is essentially a money/making machine. Guests' welfare is not important at all. If we had stayed in any cheaper hotel, we would have had much better service and would not have been stranded in the middle of the night and told off for accidentally losing our keys. If everything goes well you should be OK with Altido or Airbnb - but God help you if you have any type of accident or anything goes wrong. Take it from us - you are on your own!

    I rented a property in Milan for 3 people, not far from the Navigli area. The lights in the bathroom - a closed bathroom with no windows, bunker style - were not working. I immediately flagged the issue, ALTIDO promised to call an electrician but nothing happened. We had to use the toilet and the shower with phone lights for the entire duration of our stay. I even tried to move a floor lamp from the other room into the bathroom, and - surprise - the floor lamp was broken as well. Of course the bathroom wasn't well cleaned, how could the cleaners see what they were doing without seeing anything? The flat also smelled of sewage, which was quite disgusting. All in all, a great experience. Clearly the best part of our trip. I wanted to thank ALTIDO for ignoring all my post-stay emails as well. A serious company would profoundly apologise and offer compensation. A serious one, not ALTIDO. Stay away.

    Stay at ALTIDO Dewar Apartments Edinburgh +It had a functioning roof and bed to sleep on, the bath and shower were nice to look at least. I also learnt a lot about water pressure in a boiler, and how boilers work, which I guess is something... - There was no hot water or heating. We called for an engineer, who though helpful, only temporarily fixed the issue. This led to no hot water three consecutive mornings and some very cold evenings (relying on just a plug-in electric heater). When we called about the issue on the second morning, no one from the property management group picked up the phone and we had do google searches on how to re-pressurise the boiler ourselves (which was not to be expected from an expensive apartment!). Without hot water, and having to repressurise the boiler every morning, meant delays and extra taxi-costs to make our plans on time. We have spoken to the property managers, and though polite, they refused to provide any form of compensation for the inconvenience caused. We are very disappointed and will not be using ALTIDO properties again.

    BE AWARE!! we just rented a property (September 2022) from this company in Milan Italy near the Udomo/Galleria, they posted original pictures when it was new to deceive you, to our surprise this place was a dump/absolutely disgusting, stained dirty broken furniture, walls had food stuck on it & really dirty, bathrooms had mold, their was a previous A/C water leak so the walls were stained with mold & the floors where damaged/lifted/dirty/holes. This place was well used and in need of major repair/paint/new furniture/etc.! When we arrived and complained they gave us a pathetic 10% return when we demanded a full return to go elsewhere. Since then, The management company keeps saying "we will look into it" but are doing NOTHING about it! They simply dont care, we sent them pictures, have left several messages and sent several emails. If we read the previous review on ALTIDO GALLERIA about this unit (which complained about the exact same problem), we difinitely would NOT have booked this unit, they knew of the problem from previous complaints and did nothing about it. TRULY.....STAY AWAY!!!!! I will never book with ALTIDO again, what a shame....you ruined our stay in Milan. I wish i could post ALL the real pictures for everyone to see.

    Had a lovely stay near London Bridge. The ALTIDO team did everything they possibly could to make sure I had an enjoyable stay - from helping me with wifi issues, to assisting when I was locked out of the building. I have never stayed at a location managed by more communicative hosts. They replied incredibly promptly to all of my messages and checked in often to make sure my stay was enjoyable. They also provided me with a number of extra helpful resources for London, which would be excellent for any first-time visitors. Thanks very much for everything!

    i really enjoyed my stay. I was in London on a business trip and really felt this was one of the best spaces I could’ve chosen. Apartment was super clean, beautiful bedroom with big comfy bed, great little kitchen and a beautiful terrace for morning coffee or an evening drink. Also the service is wonderful. There’s someone to Greet u upon your arrival and there’s always a friendly and helpful person to assist you with whatever u need. And really understanding of a travelers needs. Thank u for a the beautiful stay.

    We stayed in London at one the London Residents Club’s properties. The flat was fantastic! Just as described online. They had someone meet us at the property to walk us through everything to ensure we were comfortable. They gave us a 24-hour phone number to call in case we needed anything (we never needed to call). The property itself was really nice and very clean! I would stay with them again!

    I spent a few days in London with my family and everything was super. The apartment is very comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well equipped. There are books everywhere, sofas. May be the owner should leave a few earplugs, as there are noisy situations at night. Very good the transport system by bus and tube. A very nice area where to stay! And welcoming staff. Thanks a lot!

    Great company - highly recommended! My family and I recently stayed in one of their flats in Chelsea - we are extremely happy with their service. The flat was clean, tidy and welcoming - in line with our expectations. The team was always available and very professional. Would totally recommend The London Residents Club and will definitely use it again in the future.
