   The receptionist was extremely rude and argued with me, lied about me to the manager, I cancelled my membership because of her vile attitude. I have been a customer for 2 years and was completely shocked by her behaviour. Use a different gym if you want better customer service.

   Polite staff and I could see that everyone doing their best. But probably the most annoying thing there is some visitors of swimming pool, that place their personal belongins into family changing room and would come back only after 5-10 min when they collect their children. I stopped going to swimming lessons with my baby because of that. Most changing rooms are taken by people who not even use them so my little one need to wait and you can't change baby in the ordinary changing room. I am not sure how to fix that, maybe staff can try and to catch these people and ban them from using swimming pool for a month? Otherwise, swimming lesons for my eldest child are amazing and he loves them.

   I have received absolutely outstanding service since joining Loughton Leisure Centre. From the very beginning, Sharon, one of the managers, has been nothing short of amazing. I initially enquired online and was quickly contacted by Sharon, who followed up with a phone call and arranged a tour. I suffer with excruciating pain and often find gyms intimidating, but Sharon’s kind and genuine nature instantly put me at ease. At one point, I became tearful during our conversation, and she didn’t just brush it off — she listened, handed me a tissue, and gave me a reassuring hug. There was never any pressure to join; instead, I felt supported and understood. That made all the difference. Since signing up, I’ve been attending regularly, and the atmosphere continues to be welcoming. Becca, another member of staff, always greets members with a big smile and even remembers names — such a simple but meaningful touch that makes you feel valued. Both Sharon and Becca are a true credit to the Centre. I’ve already recommended Loughton Leisure Centre to friends and family so they too can experience the top-class service and supportive environment. Since joining, my pain has become more manageable, and I genuinely look forward to coming in. Thank you to Sharon, Becca, and the whole team for all you do for the community — it really makes a difference!

   Dirty place and staff attitude was appalling! We arrived at 10.15am for a family swim session at 10.30am, went down with two kids, changed and at 10.24am headed to the pool area, but was shocked to be yelled at from across the pool by the lifeguard and told to wait out for another 5 minutes, I didn't see why we couldn't sit on the side and just leave our bag and shoe! Anyway, at 10:27am a man simply walked in with his kid and went to sit by the pool side! surprisingly was not yelled at!! At this very moment the lifeguard noticed that I saw this and waved her hand to us so we can go in!! Really! So what is the rule?!! You can't access the pool side area before 10.30 or you can at 10.27 but not at 10.24!! Not sure what was the reason behind this but I hope it wasn't skin colour! Locked area, toilets and changed area are alarmingly dirty!!floors were never sweeped from water for the whole time we were thier and until we left! The only positive was reception! She was friendly and wished the kids a good swim!

   First time today, really clean and tidy changing rooms. Swimming was lovely with steam and sauna rooms giving a bonus! Cheap prices and easy parking. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Definitely coming back.

   Been using the gym here for around 4 years since the refurbishment. Was really good. Plenty of space and equipment. Nice staff and well-maintained. However, for the past year or so, the number of people at a time in there is unbelievable, particularly teenagers coming in from school. Nothing against them but it’s just too many people for the equipment available and means you can never get a good workout in. Hope to see this change in future, or I’ll be moving gyms

   Been a member of this gym/leisure center 10 years now it was once a lovely place but now its just a youth center can't get on anything weight wise kids running around like it's a play ground under staffed. just money grabbing owners now if you think I'm just a moaner go look at 4 pm to 9 pm on a Monday .if your a adult avoid this place
