Been a member for a year. Lovely gym. However the lockers and showers need an upgrade. Great classes but you have to be quick to book onto the popular ones such as reformer Pilates, floor Pilates and yoga.

I recently joined a modern fitness club in the city, and it’s been a great experience overall. The gym is clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything from cardio machines to free weights. The classes are fun and motivating, with instructors who really know how to keep the energy up. It can get a bit crowded during peak hours, but the atmosphere stays friendly and positive. Overall, it’s a solid place to work out and stay consistent with your fitness goals.

Just joined Virgin Active Bromley and I’m really impressed. The gym is clean, modern, and has everything you need. The equipment is top quality and always available. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome from day one. The changing rooms are spotless, and the pool and sauna are great for recovery. It’s got a really good vibe never feels overcrowded, just a great place to train and stay consistent. Glad I signed up here.

I want to share my honest experience at this gym, as there are several issues that really impact the overall experience. Firstly, cleanliness is a recurring problem. The men’s changing rooms are frequently dirty and often have a foul odour. Sanitisation stations on the gym floor are regularly empty, not just a case of running out occasionally, but consistently unstocked throughout the day, from early mornings to peak hours. On one occasion after a sweaty treadmill session, I couldn’t find any wipes at all from any of the sanitisation stations. I asked reception for a towel to clean the machine. I was told to “ignore it and move on,” which felt completely gross, unacceptable and Lazy. Hygiene concerns extend to the yoga mats, where dried-up body fluids are sometimes visible. This is unsurprising given the lack of available sanitisation supplies for members to use. The Jacuzzi is also a disappointment, more often than not it’s out of action, and judging by the amusingly casual notes like (“I’m taking a little break,” “I’ll be back in a jiffy”), it seems like maintenance is infrequent at best. This makes the gym feel poor value for money, especially compared to facilities like Nuffield Health Bromley, where equipment is consistently well-maintained. Finally, the family changing rooms are so small that members often use the main changing rooms for children of the opposite sex. I’ve raised this with management, suggesting they remind members to wait their turn and use the family room, but nothing has been done to address it. Overall, while the gym has potential and fairly modern equipment, these ongoing hygiene, maintenance, and management issues make it hard to recommend in its current state.

we've joined during their family promotion in September, but ended up with my wife cancelling in her cooldown period, because it is filthy, which it is. However at the discounted rate + junior free it is still not a bad deal if you go to gym AND want to go to swim with your child 2-3 or more times a week, as otherwise in bromley you have to fish for a family swimming slot in the other pools. Despite all the negatives this one thing that really made me stay, but we are unlikely to stay past the promotional period of a year. The gym kit is fine. Sauna is also fine (at times not as hot, but most of the time I used it was great). Shower area is one of the worst I've seen in London (in terms of upkeep, otherwise well designed). To be honest the problems of the gym would be easily solved with management that cares, that would demand of great standards from their employees. The people are there, it does not look understaffed, but it feels that they just don't care. Make them care please. I do hope people will be more demanding for higher standards.

Good Gym with plenty of space and equipment. Excellent rota of classes, even though wait lists might be long I've still often got in. Only reason for 4 stars is the limited parking.

Really loved the classes. Swimming pool was laned, spa and everything as expected. Reception staff a bit naff though in the evening, trying very hard to avoid acknowledging you. Will keep the 5 stars though.

Me and my partner have both been calling and emailing to try and book a day to go and view the gym since mid December. some of the reviews on here say facility’s are below par so thought we’d see for ourself before signing up. Nobody ever got back to us so won’t be joining not that anyone seems to care. Unprofessional establishment they don’t even pick up the phone.

I was a member (have cancelled this months). Very disappointed with customer service, managers and Club-V. My son was doing the adaptation fine, then I decided to buy the pack with 10 hours. No contract was given to me. My son was able to use 1h and after that he was crying refusing to go again. I tried but he was desperate to go in. I have been trying to talk to club-V manager to discuss the situations and maybe get a refund or part of the money back. It took a while for them to answer me and they just said to me that it is not possible to get my money back. My suggestion is: NEVER BUY THE PACK !! Very disappointed.

Pros: classes especially yoga Cons: for the money (£84) a month it is in shockingly poor condition. The equipment is old and battered. Some of the dirt and grime that has been building up in the machines/free weights has been going on for years, none of them have been cleaned throughly, even during covid. The hot water stops working every other week. You’ll be lucky to get through to someone on the phone, was just on hold fir 10 minutes on a Sunday evening when the gym is empty. The only reason I stay is because it’s close and has a swimming pool. That being said my membership is up in December and I may look elsewhere because they are starting to take a liberty now putting up their monthly fees with such a poor facility and equipment. I know they are doing the place up, if you can call a paint job doing up, but it’s been like a building site at times recently.
