    I honestly wish I’d listened to the other reviews. The man who runs this shop is, quite frankly, one of the rudest people I’ve ever come across. We stood outside in the cold ringing the bell for close to twenty minutes, along with several others, while he sat inside ignoring everyone. Eventually he lifted the blind, looked us up and down, shook his head, and closed it again. I’ve never experienced such arrogance or contempt from another human being, let alone someone running a business. He seems to believe that unless you look like you come from money, you’re not worth his time. It’s baffling that someone with such an attitude is still in retail. From what I’ve heard, his shop window was vandalised not long ago with the words “do better” - and honestly, it’s hard to disagree with the sentiment. Bath has plenty of jewellers who treat people with basic respect. Save yourself the trouble and go to one of them instead.

    Terrible customer service. Very arrogant attitude and exceptionally rude. Maybe next time a polite explanation to how business is conducted wouldn’t go amiss. With plenty of other options in the City I would recommend going elsewhere.

    Located on the beautiful Pulteney Bridge and very small but nice shop. The owner gives off a very superior vibe which I didn’t like. I went to sell gold for scrap here and was offered a much worse price (~10% less) than I could even get elsewhere in Bath (despite here claiming to give the best scrap price in Bath). When I mentioned I had been given a better price elsewhere he said “then sell your gold there instead”… valid but poor customer service

    I have scrapped gold in every jewellery shop in bath and Nigel Dando's is the only shop that gives a fair price and the only shop that post gold price on the front door so you know what he will pay before you go in !!! Plus he is just a nice man and a very fair man and I recommend him above ANY jewellery shop in Bath for all things jewellery!

    Can recommend for repairs. Very pleased with results. Reasonable pricing, and excellent quality of workmanship. Wife is very happy. We recently has cause to go back and have a ring retipped, because my wife lost a small diamond from a cluster ring. Nigel offered a generous compromise on second phase of work. So very fair in all.
