Visited on a sunny day, and this place felt like an absolute hidden gem. I honestly can’t believe I didn’t know about it earlier. It’s a beautiful park with plenty of space for long walks, and it’s also perfect if you’re bringing dogs along. One of the highlights is the wonderfully preserved gardens in the middle, which feel especially peaceful, and the area near the golf course adds to the open, scenic feel. Even the drive to get there is part of the experience. It genuinely feels like you’re heading somewhere in Wales rather than staying anywhere near London. A really refreshing escape and a place I’ll definitely be coming back to.

I highly recommend a visit to this 250 acre country park. The central area contains the ornamental gardens which surrounded a now demolished mansion, and surrounding it are extensive wooded and open areas which can form a long circular walk around the golf course in the middle.

A fantastic country park with acres of space, a forest, hills, ruins, and fabulous cafe. The only thing is the car park gets very busy on the weekend so go early!

Love it here! Good place for a big walk that isn't too challenging. Choice of a few loops, we did the big one and got lost quite a few times and kept staying but always found a sign and got ourselves back on the path. Beautiful forest. Free parking at multiple sites, we parked in the cuckoos wood car park which was a bit more chill than the bigger one with the cafe.. The golf course was a bit annoying, I prefer my nature sans golf, hence 4 stars.

This was a lovely country park to visit for a family walk. We visited in February so the paths were a bit muddy, but nothing wellie boots didn't solve! The paths has directed walks to follow and the grounds had lovely views. There was even a giant tree trunk to walk along. There were public toilets that were accessible, which were required for the younger children. A lovely afternoon walk. Would recommend.

I visited here in May 2022 as part of walking the London Loop route around London. This is a large country Park you can explore, including a cafe and toilets.

Really lovely walk with some beautiful trees. The Autumn colours were spectacular. The only negative thing I would say that even the disabled path was unsuitable for our buggy as it was so muddy that the wheels got clogged up with fallen leaves and mud. We ended up dragging the buggy backwards for the duration of the walk. The Green Roof cafe made it almost worthwhile though, with a huge selection of food and the best chips ever.

One of my favourite country parks ever. Perfect for lond woodland walks. Free but very busy at times parking. Toilets on side. Cafe is offering fresh cakes, hot food and drinks. Dogs love it too. Popular for picnics.

A very lovely, dog friendly place to come for a walk. Quite a few different paths to walk along, for shorter or longer walks. If the weather is nice, it is hard to get parking as its so popular. Green Roof Cafe has amazing food, and excellent coffee
