Nice restaurant in the city centre. Food was very mediocre; the pork in the honey chilli was very hard and chewy. Portion of the chicken wings is quite small compared to other places we’d been to (see in pictures). Pina colada was very watered down and tasted like nothing. The waiter that served us was very hospitable and friendly. Overall, the visit was okay and the decor is pretty aesthetic.

Visited with a friend tonight (Saturday evening). We didn't have a reservation but luckily they were able to sit us right away. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was quick even though the restaurant was nearly full. I was a little disappointed that their in-house menu was slightly different to the one available on their website. The dish I had planned on ordering was not available anymore (no nasi goreng!) but the choice of dishes was still excellent. We ordered the salt and pepper squid as a shared starter which was tasty but possibly just a tad overcooked. For main courses we ordered the Thai green prawn curry and the classic fried rice with chicken which were both full of flavour and delicious. We didn't have to wait any time between courses and the portion sizes were generous. The décor was lovely and the atmosphere relaxed. Overall would highly recommend and will definitely be back!

The service definitely stands out - the staff were very friendly, fast and efficient. Our server was very helpful in recommending dishes. The fried dumpling starter was really lovely - they tasted fresh and the side salad was delicious. The mains of pad thai noodles and cashew nut stir fry, with an extra side of salt and chilli chips, were excellent. The food was hot, fresh, and large in quantity. The menu is extensive, with loads of choice including good vegetarian options. The cocktail menu is also excellent, and the bottled asian beers of course. We will definitely return!

I have read some of the lower reviews before dining at Gong and I can understand most of it. The food is in between three and four stars, but considering the rest I just cannot go higher. The waiter carries 1 to 2 plates at the same time and thus takes far too long to serve a table. We waited 15min for a bottle of water, another 20 for our starters and 30 more for the main dish that was just noodles & vegetables. Another table that had come in about half an hour later had been being served before. At least the waiter apologized for that. I do not care if there is Asian music in an Asian restaurant but playing the same Celine Dion songs over and over again... that's quite annoying. Especially when you have to wait so long. Both wifi and coffee machine where "under repair". I strongly suggest you guys change some things.

Just in Belfast one night and we stopped into Gong for dinner. Amazing! We had crispy stir fry chili beef and honey chilli and sesame dishes and they were both delicious! Lovely clean restaurant with lovely service. Happy to answer questions about the menu and custom made one of the dishes to a spicier version. We also had spring rolls which were great too. Slightly different version of veggie spring roll but delicious as well. What a great spot just across from Belfast City Hall.

My colleagues and I sat in for dinner. I can only speak for the dish I ordered; a Chicken Pad Kee Mao, and it was absolutely delicious. The noodles were well-seasoned and had a great texture. The employee is very welcoming and friendly. However, the food took quite some time to arrive…
