Tried Canalside for the first time yesterday, it was worth the visit. Car parking was plentiful when we arrived, the interior is nicely done, felt warm and inviting with a decent amount of seating for guests. The mix grill was very good especially the lamb chops, they were divine, the chicken wings and tikka pieces were nicely seasoned and quite moreish, the meat overall was tender and a pleasure to eat. We opted for a few items off the menu so also had a pizza, a lamb tava (flatplate) curry and a selection of breads and masala chips with a side salad. Curry was very tasty again with lamb being very flavoursome and tender, the pizza was quite nice essentially a giant naan in the shape of a pizza which was nice highly recommend the keema pizza that was very tasty. Masala chips were nice and I would recommend. The naan breads we had were a little on the thick side I felt and not charred enough however the tandoori rotis we exactly what I expected, nice and thin, charred and cooked to perfection. Overall a great place to visit if you like authentic Indian food. Only small criticism I had was they exercise portion control so you dont get big portions of whatever you order but the very reasonable prices reflect this, and the side salad, it wasn't a proper salad I think it was shoved together last minute, it should've had carrots on with some green chilli and also sliced red onion especially having it with a curry. We will definitely be back again to try more dishes!

Went there Last Night! What can i say it was 10/10. Look at the size of them Lamb Chops and Fish Pakora!! The chicken was so juicy each item had its own flavour. I 100% recommend this place. Nice little Gem!!!

A Hidden Gem by the Canal! I found this place on TikTok and Iβm so glad I gave it a try. The food was absolutely great, and the service was just as good β friendly and attentive. What really made the experience for me, though, was the canal-side seating area. Sitting there with the sun shining, enjoying a delicious meal and the peaceful view, was just perfect. Iβll definitely be coming back again!

The staff were very accommodating from the get go. Pleasant and warm greeting, efficient service with a smile. The food was cracking. The family mixed grill easily feeds 5 full grown adults. Good selection of mixed grill components, but the lamb chop stole the show. Naan and masala chips were also solid, but the masala chips lost the flavour when eaten alongside the mixed grill. Mains were all very good, however I'd not get the chilli chicken again - not a fan. But, each to their own. Overall, worth it!

Great restaurant. Came here for a birthday party and arrived slightly late. Staff were very understanding and welcoming. Food was fantastic and the restaurant has a great vibe with good music and decor. Staff were really lovely throughout, and the cocktails were good quality. Staff were happy for us to bring our own cake and bring it out with the candles we supplied at the end. Really helped made the evening run smoothly. Everyone was happy with their meal, with a good spice and plenty of options (from their own naan bread pizzas, to wraps and curries ect. Would highly recommend.

Note: This venue is now an Indian restaurant/takeaway I took my mum here for an early evening meal out after it came highly recommended by friends. The service was excellent. I really felt the lady serving us cared about our experience and that we enjoyed our visit. I had a mixed grill and my mum had a korma. Both dishes were absolutely fantastic. Price wise the dishes were a little more than most takeaways in the area (korma was around Β£12) but very much worth the price! I have already recommended this resteraunt to family and friends and strongly recommend it to anyone reading this review.

Came with a groups of friends to try out this place. When the food came out the first lot of masala fries were cold and sent back, then came out rest of the orderβ¦. Prawn tikka masala was literally a very sweet sauce with prawns tossed in, the first naan came out burnt black and was sent back. The chicken Karahi was not a chicken karahi, but chewy reheated chicken in a sauce with chunky peppers and onion, this was sent away as it didnβt taste great. The Desi pizzas were very doughy as they were undercooked. Eventually explained our concerns and disappointment to the manager who agreed the quality wasnβt acceptable and offered a discount on bill (just about) and requested we come again so he can justify that they provide a high standard, reflective of their βreviewsβ. We wonβt be returning!
