Another fantastic Sunday lunch at The Bell at Trysull today (2nd November 2025). We all ordered the turkey Sunday lunch which displayed generous portions of well cooked sliced Turkey together with roast potatoes in rosemary (lovely) boiled potato, brocoli, peas, carrots, Yorkshire Pudding and large stuffing ball all topped off with a lovely dark gravy. A big feature of The Bell is that a server later comes out and offers a free top up of roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding ( The only place I have ever been to that has made this offer). We all went for the apple cobbler with custard and/or ice cream for sweet which was also very nice. Main courses were £13.75 which we consider excellent value. Sweets were £6.50. Excellent ale of my favourite Golden Glow. Total bill came to just over £70. Overall an excellent Sunday lunch - Top marks. Staff as always were fantastic and very attentive. We will be back soon.

If ever you're thinking of going out for a meal, then look no further than here at The Bell. If you like home made food and plenty of it, then you won't be disappointed. Both my husband and myself had the Steak and Holdens ale pie. My husband is a big eater and for him to say he was full, then the chef has done a good job. The steak was in big chunks and accompanied with dark rich gravy with puff pastry. Even though the there was pastry top and bottom of the pie, it was thin, unlike pies I've eaten elsewhere and it's all pastry and no filling. We had to wait at least half hour to make room before we could eat our dessert. The price was a set price of £15.95 for a two course meal. Our waiter Regan was so polite and couldn't do enough for us. Big shout out to him. Give this pub a try, you won't be disappointed.

Didn't have a booking but was seated straight away by friendly staff. Drinks were ordered and arrived quickly, lovely holdens pink gin and pint of glow. Our food was fresh hot and very lovely, lasagna with garlic bread & salad and large fish & chips. Don't usually have room for pudding but there was black forest sponge on the menu so had that, it was huge and delicious, gutted I had to leave a bit, and my hubby had a mini dessert platter. Food was delicious, restaurant was very clean and spacious and all the staff were friendly. Will look forward to another visit soon.

Beautiful pub and restaurant in a great quiet location. Lots of parking for cars and bicycles. Disabled toilet facilities, clean and spacious restaurant area. Newly upholstered seating, clean and brightly decorated with good space around each table. A notice said they were looking to fill various staff vacancies however we were seated quickly, applied drinks within minutes and orders taken. Starters came as we finished our drinks. Chicken tikka bites were good sized chunks and well cooked. Garlic mushrooms were fresh and not battered but in a nice sauce. Just as I finished my last bite or waitress arrived and asked if it was ok to take it plates. She then reappeared with our mains on huge, warm plates. The hunters chicken was perfectly cooked with a good thick slice of bacon, plentiful salad and triple cooked chips with a lovely sweet BBQ sauce. The 10oz gammon half covered the plate and cake with the same lovely chips, well cooked egg, pineapple and peas. The waitress stopped to check on us and brought us another set of drinks while we ate our mains. Couldn't resist a dessert... Despite not managing to finish my main! Salted caramel brownie sundae was sooo worth it! Nice to have the caramel ice cream instead of vanilla. Whole bill came to less than £70 including the 4 drinks! (3 of the them doubles). Lots of people obviously taking relatives there for a nice quiet meal. Such a friendly atmosphere. We were serviced quickly and politely and didn't feel rushed at any point either. Nice place, good beers, well cooked meals and good prices. Would recommend to it anyone. Gem of a place.

Brilliant typical British pub atmosphere. Very reasonable prices. Would recommended one of their own beers and the sandwiches are spot on. Had the fire on when I went, lots of locals coming in that were all friendly too. Would visit again.

Gluten Free Vegetarian Vegan Lentil Shepherds Pie. This is the only gluten free savoury dish on the menu, luckily for me it was also Vegetarian. I can't say I noticed any lentils in it... but it did have baked beans (in tomato sauce) which went very nicely with the bubble and squeak topping. Unfortunately there were a lot of mushrooms in it, which weren't mentioned...... I can't stand the things. Even so it was a nice homemade dish once I'd removed the offending mushrooms, the accompanying fresh vegetables were spot on, and the gluten free vegetarian gravy was very tasty indeed. The pub itself is very nice and the restaurant was lovely. There were 2 GF desserts on the menu but I didn't have one so can't comment on those. I'd love to see some more gluten free options added to the menu as it really was very nice in there, with good service, and I would be happy to go again.

This is my second time visiting and again staff were all so welcoming and provided excellent customer service. The food fresh, hot and served in good time. Not only is it a warm and friendly environment but you also have the option to sit in their beautiful well maintained gated beer garden. I would definitely recommend to both families/couples (including dog owners).

Nice place for breakfast with family or friends. Pretty outdoor seating and very homely vibe indoors. Staff are good. Plenty of parking available. Photo below when we rode up Bridgnorth and stopped by the bell for a bit. Highly recommend this place

We had a family due here with approx. 20 people. The servers were very kind and everything went smoothly initially, obviously they are prepared for parties. Unfortunately they do think eggs are diary, so the lactose intolerant family member couldn't have the prawn cocktail even though it only has eggs in. The carrot and coriander soup was a bit bland and watery, bit it might have just been a one off. For a vegetarian/vegan option they only gave us one and as the picture shows the 'nutroast' was more like a pile of rice with some beans and nuts and no gravy. Unfortunately the birthday girl was vegetarian as well, so she had to eat this instead of a roast. When mentioning this to the main waitress the answer was no apologies and 'it is moroccan' as of that supposed to solve everything. They did have 2 different vegan desserts which is a bit comical after a pile of rice and some veggies as I would've had room for both. (They were lovely to be fair) All in all we did have a a good time with family and most of the dinner went smoothly. I don't think I would go back on my own accord, but might return for another due if someone else invited me and maybe have lower expectations.
