Excellent food at a very reasonable price. Adam the new landlord was very welcoming. The pub has also had a very tasteful makeover since coming under new management to bring it's decor up to date which has enhanced the atmosphere too. All in all the perfect, family friendly country pub.
Enjoyed Saturday lunch and a couple of pints! The food is typical pub food affair and well priced! I would come back.
Brilliant Sunday lunch today. Genuine friendly service. Everything delicious and clearly all freshly made. Puddings also excellent. All sensibly priced for the quality. We're so glad the Cross Keys is open again and under such excellent care. Des would be well proud, well done guys!
Fantastic family friendly venue. I went for bonfire night and it was pretty epic, great sense of community, parents kids and even dogs. the fireworks were great as well. I will be coming back to try more of the food, but the hotdog that I tried on the night were divine.
You know what had a bad experience here a couple years ago and wrote it off. Just shows you to keep trying. Had a great meal great service and reasonable prices. Definitely with a visit. Booking essential
Went for Sunday lunch as recommended by a friend. Staff were lovely but food was extremely disappointing. Starter was nice but main course Sunday lunch - cauliflower cheese undercooked, roast potatoes undercooked, burnt Yorkshire pudding and beef that was solid. Not recommended
Visited here a few weeks ago with some friends for Sunday lunch. Service was fast and the staff were friendly. We all had a starter and main course with a few of us saving room for dessert too. The food was tasty, with the highlight being that Sunday roast and giant Yorkshire pudding! I'd definitely recommend this place to others.
As you walk in, you see the different awards won proudly displayed on the fence but until you are inside enjoying and experiencing the hospitality of the amazing staff and the warmth of the place that you realise how great a place this pub is. Truly a country pub and would give it a 5 star rating any time. What came out of the kitchen was quite impressive. They do not have children menu but are very flexible to work magic to accommodate children. We had a lovely family time out and would highly recommend.
Went with my wife and a couple of friends of ours for the wife's birthday. Lovely staff with an at ease feel but with the food and place being a cut above the norm. Had read so much about the belly of pork but they had ran out so ended up with a pork steak which was still impressive along with a mustard sauce. I particularly liked the sauteed potatoes that accompanied it. With drinks and 3 courses it was a touch over £30 per head which we all agreed was good value with the quality of the food. Would certainly like to visit again.
