   Lily’s Umami is hands down one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in the world, and Lily herself is the sweetest person ever. The food tastes like it’s made with so much love, and this is always my first stop whenever I visit Nottingham. It has such a warm, homely feel to it. I’ve even teared up eating the fried rice and the beef brisket with bean curd stick hotpot. Trust me—order it, you won’t regret it. If you enjoy spicy food like I do, don’t miss the Sichuan boiled beef. This place is truly a hidden gem in Nottingham and without a doubt, my absolute favourite food spot.

   I definitely recommend this restaurant. It has the feel of a cafe with Asian food. Everything is delicious and well cooked. If you’re looking for no frills, tasty food and reasonable prices. This is a good choice.

   Crispy roast duck was super tasty. Roast pork was also tasty and crispy with a good balance of fat and meat. Service was very good, run by husband and wife team. You can tell they care about their customers with the effort they put in.

   This place is a little hidden gem and very good value. We ordered: egg fried rice, braised pork belly, salt and pepper chicken, salt and pepper chips and a sauce, as well as 3 bubble teas and altogether it was £42.50. We added extras to the bubble teas and considered bubble tea can be £5/6 each, this was well worth the price for the size of the portions too. There are seats in there, one table of 4 and 3 table of 2’s, so good for eat in and take away. There service was impeccable, the staff were really friendly and helpful with ordering what we liked. Would definitely go back and recommend to anyone who fancies a good Chinese

   Lovely and welcoming staff. Lots of options to choose from and I only waited around 10 minutes for my food to be ready. I paid £9 for chicken noodles and considering the portion size and how tasty it was, definitely worth it.

   This is my first time to have dinner in a Chinese restaurant in Nottingham. I accompanied with my fds to order a steamed sea bass, a fried rice and a sweet corn soup. This was an amazing dinner. The standard of food is as excellent as South China area. You would feel like at home. The price is ideal. Three family members are the owners. They are all very nice and kind. We are highly recommended and looking forward to go there again.

   I’ve eaten here a few times now, the service is always very welcoming, tonight we shared, egg fried rice, dumplings and the salt and pepper squid. Although the squid & the dumplings could have been hotter we still enjoyed it!
