So the wife took me here because I've drove past it & not had chance to go in, but after being out & about on a chilly Autumn morning & going to a couple of Christmas fetes we decided to go for lunch & I am so glad we did... The place is amazing, it's warm with an amazing atmosphere, the staff are friendly & it was so vibrant & buzzing with energy. We were seated in a cosy little room & it was quiet where we were, the wife was happy as she could see the TV where football was playing & the room itself was snug with only a few tables in there. The food was just out of this world & I can wholly recommend the crispy pheasant! Everything about this place is special, the staff kept coming to see if we were okay but not overly so, the food was hot & delicious, it's definitely a place I can't wait to go back to. Wholly recommend going to anybody passing that way, & if not passing then go anyway! You won't be disappointed!!

My wife and I popped in for lunch on a Tuesday. We were warmly welcomed by staff and quickly seated, and informed of the soup of the day. The decor was lovely, with subdued colours and simplicity creating a warm atmosphere. It was red wine slow braised beef cheek, with champ and star anise carrots for wifey. Poachers wagyu and brisket burger for me. Both stunning!!! Great portions, beautifully cooked and sensational flavour. I would say my burger was the best I've had! All in all, a great experience, well priced for good portions too. We will be booking for a Sunday soon.

Went here with my mum for her birthday. The restaurant was really busy (and I was glad I had a table booked). The service was a tad slow and we're were served by no less than 5 different people in our visit. The food however was excellent and I was a nice place to be. Two courses from that part of the menu is £34 which I reasonable. The cost for me was circa £36 (inc drinks) each which again was reasonable for the quality of the food.

What a beautiful place to find on your birthday weekend. Didn't have a booking & it was busy as, nevertheless, the staff welcomed us in, found us a table, & we had the most stunning meal that we've had in a long time. Definitely 1 to search for if your out on your travels & looking a quaint eaterie. Delicious.

Had a very lovely meal with the family. After hearing only great reviews from friends and colleagues over the years we finally gave The Poachers Pocket a go. The quality of the food was exceptional, the setting is so comfortable and cosy and the staff are friendly, professional and efficient. Definitely coming back!!

Really fantastic food in a cosy setting. We were seated in thw bar area which in my view is nicer than the main section of the establishment. The food was really excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. The sticky toffee pudding is worth going for alone. A good selection of drinks and all at relatively reasonable prices given the quality of the food. Definitely worth a drive to give this place a try.

Excellent food with a elegant yet relaxed feel in the restaurant. Lots of comfort food is available and the booths by the window are very homely. Price matched the quality of the food and the staff were outstanding. We had the beef cheek, chorizo pizza, scampi and open steak sandwich and couldn’t find a single complaint about any of them.

Good food, really lovely restaurant, cosy atmosphere. A bit disappointed with the stick toffee pudding, but it was the only let down.
