“Food was gorgeous! I had a turkey and ham dinner. We ordered coffees but after 25 minutes they never arrived so we paid the bill and went elsewhere. We phoned the week prior to book a table and were told just to arrive. We were queued out the door but only had approximately 10 minutes to wait for a table. Staff were very friendly. It was very noisy with people so it was quite difficult to have a conversation.”

It's very sad to see a good restaurant have to close it's doors, I know Peter has done everything he possibly could to keep Oliver's running, sadly it is just not good times for the hospitality trade. “I'm a customer of over 20 years now. Hands down the best Indian food around. Never had a bad meal. Their portion sizes nor the recipes haven't changed the whole time I've been coming here! A lot of local takeaways have cut corners and reduced their portions or bought in cheap meat. Not the Ganges. I'll keep coming back for quality food. When I lived in Bangor, still drove here. Now I'm Donaghadee, I still drive here. The only time I don't come here for Indian food is if I haven't a lot of time and head on to my number 2. Keep doing what you're doing lads!!”

“They have either changed their recipes or chef lol but definitely got better! 9 times out of 10 it's early and if an item is ever missing they roll bring it straight to you. This rarely happens though and I've been getting food from here for years and I think they've maybe missed sn item once, i got free prawn crackers too for the inconvenience! Tasty hot food, never delivered cold. Highly recommend!!!”

“Yes, I can buy and eat my own flowers for breakfast! Beautiful brunch enjoyed on my first, but imagine it will not be my last, visit to this fantastic cafe in Newtownards. Choosing gluten free cost me my sausages but the dish more than made up for my initial disappointment. Food quality was superb, portion generous and the gluten free bagel was a bonus. Would heartily recommend. Very friendly and helpful servers and I loved the interiors of this place as well. Note: at busy times you may have to wait for tables of four but I was quickly seated as I only needed a table of one. Totally worth a wait though if you ever find that there is one!”

“Mediterranean dinner at Chef and Manager in Newtownards near Belfast. It is one of those places that do not exist on IG, yet known to locals and is always fully packed. We were so lucky to have got recommended it and to actually manage to get a table on a Friday! The food was exquisite, the flavours, the presentation, the staff, everything was done with extra care. One of those places when you feel the owners take it upon themselves to ensure you enjoy every detail. . What you see here is duck breast, so tender! Laid on some veggies, and a selection of sauces. Each of them takes you on a different journey. Second main was a rack of lamb (mint crusted), it had a charcoal flavour and the taste was complemented by Mediterranean veggies. Both dishes came with potato gratin. . For starters, we had beans soup and goat cheese fritters with beetroot and bread. I was so tempted to go there again during out short visit”

Didn’t realise till after they weren’t open till 5 so accommodated our lunch time request no questions asked. Highly recommend and love they are local east Belfast company which we love to support”
