French restaurant in Newtownards

“Food was gorgeous! I had a turkey and ham dinner. We ordered coffees but after 25 minutes they never arrived so we paid the bill and went elsewhere. We phoned the week prior to book a table and were told just to arrive. We were queued out the door but only had approximately 10 minutes to wait for a table. Staff were very friendly. It was very noisy with people so it was quite difficult to have a conversation.”

“Excellent quality food at a keen price - I am strictly coeliac and the gluten free options were both tasty and carefully prepared to avoid contamination. Staff were polite and attentive. Hard to fault in any way really, and especially at this price.”

“As a regular visitor to this fabulous little gem, I cannot find fault in anyway. Menu - lots of tasty choices, good price Staff - attentive, friendly, professional Location - quirky, well decorated, vibrant One of the very few places in the city that’s properly dog friendly as opposed to “dog tolerant” If you haven’t tried here yet then I’d suggest getting some and giving it a go, but if you turn up at a busy time you may have a short wait ahead - but this is a good thing, would you rather go to a place with nobody in it - the place speaks for itself. Highly recommended”

“Enjoyed the Bull Stack burger and fries. The burger was cooked nicely but not too well done and I liked the slightly charred bun it was served in. It was really well filled as well. The fries were pretty good and not too big a portion. The service was on point throughout and it had a fairly nice ambience not too loud.”

“Called in today 18/11/2025 for lunch. 2 Soups, 2 Sandwiches, 1 chunky chip. We enjoyed lunch, food 5 star and a shout out to our server Paula, great service and craic. Will be back, a hugh recommendation”

“Mediterranean dinner at Chef and Manager in Newtownards near Belfast. It is one of those places that do not exist on IG, yet known to locals and is always fully packed. We were so lucky to have got recommended it and to actually manage to get a table on a Friday! The food was exquisite, the flavours, the presentation, the staff, everything was done with extra care. One of those places when you feel the owners take it upon themselves to ensure you enjoy every detail. . What you see here is duck breast, so tender! Laid on some veggies, and a selection of sauces. Each of them takes you on a different journey. Second main was a rack of lamb (mint crusted), it had a charcoal flavour and the taste was complemented by Mediterranean veggies. Both dishes came with potato gratin. . For starters, we had beans soup and goat cheese fritters with beetroot and bread. I was so tempted to go there again during out short visit”

“This was our first time at Neill's Hill Brasserie and I'm so glad we decided to give it a go. Just a great meal from start to finish. The staff were so friendly and it had a great atmosphere! Starters were Cauliflower Wings in hot sauce and Halloumi fries, mains were Smoked haddock,mash, poached eggs with mustard cream and chicken schnitzel, desserts were creme brulee and apple tart. My wife had a Grapefruit Gimlet cocktail which she described as "delicious!" I could fault any of these dishes, they all tasted great and every plate was handed back clean! We will 100% be back for more and I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant!”

“Today is the second time in the last few weeks iv had breakfast here due to changing my mechanic, first time was unbeatable the second time just as great, the food is of good quality, fresh and cooked to perfection with no pools off grease as iv experienced in other places, staff are upbeat, friendly and willing to go that extra mile, the cleanliness is at a high standard and portions are generous, this is the best fry iv had in a very long time so in mine and no doubt many others opinions it’s good food high quality without dramas or without eating something just because you’ve paid, honestly give it a try if passing you won’t be disappointed!!
