I have been here a few times lately... Not one bit impressed. John Dory's used to have such a great name for itself, however the hardford link branch is nowhere near the standard it needs to be..! I have worked in chips shops and know how the food should be cooked and presented so what I say next is from an educated opinion. I have ordered chicken goujons at least twice, and chips with every meal ( as standard practice for chip shops )... The goujons have been burnt to a cinder on both occasions, not only the batter darkened in colour but also the chicken within was dryer than ghandis slipper. The chips where crispy on the outside and partially cooked on the inside. On this occasion and the previous I have asked specifically for salt only, it is even printed on the receipt I was given, yet not a grain of salt near the food. I have previously ordered battered sausages also, they came yet again over cooked..! I will not be returning until either proper training has been issued to the staff or simply a change in management as this is simply a mockery of the John Dory name and brand.

Have ate here for years and normally find it pretty decent. Today’s takeaway was so poor though. The fish, I’m not sure was actually cooked all the way through, the batter was so soggy and greasy. The chips were barely warm. Suspect they had been sitting too long. Given the prices, it’s disappointing that a chip shop can’t cook a staple dish like fish and chips.

Takeaway cost just under £40 for 3 people , fish was really greasy and not white fish , thought to be honest more batter than fish and chips where awful couldn't eat them very hard possibly recooked I'm very disappointed. I don't think I'll be back. I don't have the money to waste in this day and age

If it says an hour wait I’ll gladly wait an hour 15 mins. But when it finally shows up two and a half hours after order then I don’t care if it’s the nicest grub on the planet - your process is terrible and my experience awful. Was intending to eat an hour ago then get ready then go out. All planning up the left now because of JDs. Stop your app showing an hour if it’s not accurate and allow people to make their choice based on genuine details. Did ring to query delay to be told they’d one driver on (on a Saturday night???) BTW when it turned up grub was cold and very rubbery, especially the chicken goujons. Partner got fish supper instead of fish bites supper and it was well over cooked. Both drinks were also wrong. Avoid avoid avoid! Horrendous experience from start to finish. £26 wasted and well over half of our food ended up in the bin

Ordered 2 chips from here today £8.70. And was horrible..Seriously think they might of been re cooked. They where so dry and bland...John Dory's use to be good. If you charge higher price then back it up with the quality

After work called to Newtownards shop, never again the 5oz steak burger well lets just say McDonald simple ham burgers would put this burger to shame, hubby is still hungry, my chips and gravy well not one chip was cooked ended up in the bin absolutely disappointed ☹️ and the price shocking. Will never be back!

Great food prices a little bit high but you get what you pay for

Thought I'd treat Dad by getting take-out from somewhere new, but it was a complete letdown. First off customer service was awful; staff lounging around while we were wanting to order. The price, £18 for 2 burger meals, rip off. When we got home, the portions were tiny, I've seen larger kid's meals elsewhere and the quality was moderate at best. Would not recommend to anyone and certainly won't be going back myself.
