The food is great with generous portions. Unfortunately the service is awful. Restaurant not busy for a Monday evening yet the service was far too slow. Waited too long for drinks, too long for the starter and evening meal. Worth the wait if you have the patience.

Firstly, the staff were fantastic. Professional and attentive. The restaurant was quiet. Starter was nice. Main course was burger and it was overcooked and dry. It was same for others in my company. I should have brought it to attention of the staff but, it would have been ages to get a new dinner. Went to the bar afterwards, good atmosphere and drinks.
I went to riverside bar and restaurant because I am a guest at the hotel, they were busy around 5:30pm so a lovely man asked me if I wouldn’t mind to come at 7:30, I said it was not an issue! 7:26pm I got down for dinner and was promptly seated at 7:28pm, was asked if I wanted water for the table and I said yes, restaurant was a bit more quiet than earlier, I had some colleagues join my table. Two tables next to mine also got seated. Time passes and the waiter never came, it’s around 7:40pm and he goes to the other two tables and asks for their drinks and if they were ready to order, it’s now 7:51pm and still no attention to our table, we starting discussing about just leaving and going somewhere else, he comes 1/2min later and asks if we are ready? We said yes, we ordered mains and also starters afraid he would never come back to ask for our mains. Wine glasses were never removed from the table (as a waiter the wine glasses tells you that the guests are still waiting on the drinks order, unless it’s different over here) one of the glasses had lipstick on the rim and mine had a chip on it. Food came we were very pleased with the flavors, food was really good, I would totally recommend this restaurant for the food, the service could be better but other than that we really liked it.
horriable experience, the food tasted fine but everything else was bad, especially the service, they din’t even take our plates for our starters, and got my girlfreinds order wrong. if you want a nice experience dont go here
Food was ok but nothing special, asked for a doggy bag only to be told they don't do containers. Restaurant did not appear too busy yet the waiting time was unacceptable. To top it off we were as good as shoed out of the place at closing time after being reminded 4 times that they are closing soon.
Had dinner in here last nite, shown to our table and there was food on the floor, service was fine food was just ok, waited ages for our dinner plates to be taken away, asked for to calypso coffees, no tia maria in them and then they decided to charge 11.50 service charge, absolute joke, would i go again, not sure to be honest, better places aroynd to eat in
Horrible from start to finish service food not what you would expect from a restaurant inside a 4star hotel. They thought putting to open bottles into one and serving this is acceptable disgusting totally unacceptable never will be back
Overall disappointing. We were celebrating a 12th birthday (which we had stated online when booking). Lots of empty tables, not many in the restaurant. We waited 50minutes for food with 3 children. When we enquired about it after 45minutes we were told they had bumped it up the queue! They said they were short staffed, only 2 in the kitchen and they were under pressure. When the food came, 2 adults got first, then 2 children and the 3rd child was told it would be another 5minutes! The 3rd child had ordered pizza and chips. I had expected all food to arrive at the same time so we could eat together! My children had long finished their drink so I asked for a drink on the house. The manager arrived after another few minutes and said we could have a drink on the house as though it was his idea! The food was fine, although small enough portions. Mine was luke warm as i waited for my 3rd child's food to arrive. Dessert - the birthday girl got hers, only by default! The other desserts that were brought at the same time were incorrect. They had brought us the desserts that were intended for a different table. They told my daughter to hold on to her dessert and the rest would be out very soon. After waiting another 5 minutes we were told "sorry for the delay, as it is a birthday they are taking their time to make it a wee bit special!". The rest of desserts arrived another 5 minutes later, no more special than anyone else's!! 3rd child had ordered fruit salad. The apple in it was brown and soft and mushy. Rest of desserts were fine. We were asked if all was ok, I told the staff "no, its not ok, the apple in the fruit salad was brown, soft and mushy". It was taken away. A manager brought it back and asked what was wrong with the fruit salad? I told him the apple in it was brown, soft and mushy. He said "the chef says the fruit is fresh today and that it should be expected to have an odd bad apple in the middle of it, do you want another one?". We didn't. My husband paid the whole bill, we were not charged for the free drink. I was told by the manager that there were messages all over regarding short staff and basically it was suggested that we should have been ok with the delays. I didnt see any signs, that's not to say they weren't there. He told me that he had intended discounting the bill but it had already been paid before he got to us. He told me he had my room number (we were not staying in the hotel!), he asked if we were going to the bar for a drink (it was 9.05pm, we were not heading to a bar with children, it is not allowed anyway). We left disgruntled.
