Silver Marlin Fish and Chip Shop offers amazing value for money with massive portions that are hard to beat. The fish is usually tasty, though occasionally a little overcooked, and sometimes the delivery can take longer than expected. However, for the price and portion sizes, it’s definitely worth it. Highly recommend for a satisfying, affordable meal!
Order from silver marlin as it’s reasonably priced and food used to be good. Just recently the quality is not so good. The egg fried rice received today was inedible. Overcooked and texture was not right at all so went in the bin. Half the chips were little bits which were quite hard . Fish I had a few weeks ago was way overcooked and like cardboard. I Won’t be ordering from here again. Looking for new takeaway.

Always used this Chinese takeaway and had no problem. This time late delivery, Cold food. Pork in Blackbean sauce ( no sauce)
Very friendly staff, very clean establishment. Ordered large chips large battered sausage and 2 fish cakes all for under £10, piping hot and very delicious, I will definitely be going back
Don't like leaving poor reviews, however this was the worst fish and chips I've tasted in years - thick, soggy batter covering slimy fish with dry, overcooked chips - everything had a stale oil taste. Peas were decent. Portion sizes decent - but not much good if the food ends up in the bin. Haven't tried the Chinese food. Real shame as we were looking forward to our tea
