   This place was so cute! The atmosphere is perfect, it feels like you've just stepped into a small restaurant in Japan. The service is very attentive and the food came quickly. We ordered a mango, avocado, and shrimp tempura roll, which was suoer delicious. We also got the mixed fish rice box, which came with a great selection of fish. We also got the vegetable tempura - which was nice, but some pieces weren't as texturely enjoyable as others. I loved the sweet potato and lotus root, but did not love the okra or the mushroom. We also had two pieces of mochi ice cream for dessert. It was a very expensive meal for what we ordered, coming in at almost £50, but it was high quality.

   I love this place and have been there several times for lunch and dinner. Food is great and fresh, staff is always super nice and welcoming. Recently I was slightly disappointed with a temaki/taco (Ebi - prawn and cucumber) as it came with ONE prawn and a TINY piece of cucumber as you can see on the picture. Not sure if that was a lapse or what, but was very disappointing. Despite that, all plates were good as always and I would come back.

   Wow! We’ve been to Japan and this food is just as good! We shared a sushi platter and the fish was just beautiful. Katsu curry and aromatic duck dishes were delicious! Staff really friendly and prices really reasonable. Would love to visit again and try more dishes on the menu - which was really extensive!!

   Our first time at Umai and certainly won't be our last. Divine food, wonderfully presented , fresh with lovely tasty ingredients. The starters/sides/small plates are superb! There was 4 of us and we got 5 of these which was plenty. The main dishes were incredible and good sizes. The staff are great , friendly and attentive. Really can't and don't want to find any fault or negative for Umai, it is fantastic!

   It was my first time visiting here tonight. The service is very efficient and friendly. Its a small tucked away restaurant with an intimate dining experience. The food was gorgeous and great value too. Better than a Wagamama I would say. Highly recommended.

   Our first time visiting tonight, and it was wonderful! There is a fast pace and turnover - I'd defintely advise booking a table - but you're not rushed out, and the food is incredible! Can't wait to go back already!!
