Absolutely superb food! I ordered Crispy Shredded Chicken with Chilli and Mushroon Foo Yung, both dishes were piping hot, flavoursome and freshly prepared. Will use again and again, in my opinion the best chinese in the area!
I can’t really comment on the atmosphere as I ordered take away! However this Chinese take away was delightful. Lovely fresh food and great value for money. I think £38 fed around 7 of us (4 adults and 3 children) which is much better than a lot of places. We collect as they do not deliver to us but it’s so worth it.
Have been a regular customer in the area for years, and will only eat Chinese takeout from New World for their variety in vegetarian dishes. Food is usually tasty and fresh, as well as delivered in a timely manner. Tonight, however, we opted to cancel our order after it was suggested we will have to wait another hour on top of our 1 hour wait. Did not offer any reason as to why our food was taking so long, especially given we are local. No offer of compensation either. I have not rated any stars for atmosphere as it is a take-out restaurant. I would continue to use New World as this is only my second poor experience with them, but air on the side of caution.
I have ordered from new world for years and the food has always been amazing. However tonight, when the food arrived I found a large thick black hair in my prawn crackers. After dishing up the food for my family, the food tasted stale as if it had been made 3 days prior and just been sat on the side. I appreciate these things can happen from time to time in busy periods etc, so I called up and explained that the food wasn’t up to the usual standard. The lady I spoke to agreed that they would come back to collect the order and refund my money as I had paid cash. The man turned up 3 hours later, banging on my kitchen window, so I went out with the bag of food. He then became aggressive, shouting in my face and telling me that I’m shameful and should be ashamed of my behaviour as the food was fresh and there was nothing wrong with it. I tried to explain that I order from there all the time and usually it is lovely but on this occasion it wasn’t and he then demanded that I get my partner out so he could tell him too (this was all caught on my ring doorbell!!). After giving me my money back he then told me that I am not welcome to order from the shop again and proceeded to stand at the end of driveway staring at me and trying to intimidate me! Extremely unprofessional! If you’re reading this review, do not order from this Chinese! The owner is a physco!
Been ordering here for years. Always consistently great food, well cooked and generous portions, the chicken balls are fantastic! Service is always pleasant and food is delivered in good time, all at a good price. It's easily our favourite Chinese takeaway.
Funnily enough, the food itself was lovely, the 8 hours of agony for us afterwards was not so good, turns out everyone that got ill last night ate chicken in their meal, not the best

For the local areas this has to be one of the best Chinese takeouts available. The price is very fair and portion sizes are incredibly good. The menu variation is large and custom orders can be arranged if requested (dependant on item). Time waiting for food is low and delivery times are usually great. By far a must try if you're in need of a good takeout.
