Normally a really nice place went here today Saturday afternoon for a bag off chips must have been scraps left over from Friday night stale and hard even the mut turned his nose up at charging champagne prices for tap water.
Incredible flavour and top-quality fish and chips. I visited twice during hospital appointments and was genuinely impressed both times. Although I wasn’t familiar with the Ashmore area, this spot is easily one of the best chippies in Wolverhampton
Used this chippy for a while now, but recently, the prices have gone through the roof, and portions have got smaller. The large chips are £5 now, and fish bites are small and round with an increase to £1 each. It wouldn't be that bad if they cooked freshly to order in their quieter periods. Recently, had a large bag of chips, which were cold and slightly stale tasting prob due to them sitting for so long. Also, the oil didn't seem fresh, as the chips were covered in black bits all over. Disappointed tbh especially for the price. Will stick to the one on stubby lane now. Sorry guys
There chicken and chips taste nice. I used to branch there after school run with my kids. I do also buy takeaway for my wife. I love theirs services, food, atmosphere and their products were also cheap and delicious. My kids use to call it; ‘Yummy! Yummy!!’
Absolutely horrendous food, went in a few weeks ago whilst visiting friends, used to be my local before I moved away, the food was horrible, not much taste, very greasey. Gave me and everyone who had food from there food poisoning. Very disappointing considering it was a decent chippy back in the day.
I've been purchasing food from here for just over 6 months. It is always hot, tasty and good portions. I now only use this chippy not because its local but because its the best I've had in the area, screw that in the last couple of years. The staff are always helpful and polite to deal with, if your hungry I'd 100% recommend anyway of the week
First and last time i'll use this chip shop, pie was stone cold, kebab meat was hard and crunchy, chicken meat was ok though, chips were decent. Sausage was bland.
Every time I order there is something missing. This time a whole meal! Can’t get through to shop on phone to address and correct. Good is always lovely, but you’re probably better off going in and not ordering online as there is always something
