we had the antipasto starter, spaghetti ciociara (?) and lasagna with the house wine and a peroni. The spaghetti was great actually and the saving grace of the place imo. Good sized portion, lovely flavours. The antipasto starter was so bad - the olives were cheap, tasted like they were straight out of a jar, the bread was very dry, and it was served with a little bit of iceberg lettuce. The meat itself was questionable, some of it was a bit grey, and all of it was pretty poor quality. The lasagna was super watery and tomatoey, as if a tin of tomatoes had just been thrown in. The only cheese/roux in the lasagna was a bit of cheap mozzarella on top. The service was nice, although a bit slow as only one waitress working several tables while the person who appeared to be the manager just stood around. The meal was very inexpensive - with two drinks, two mains and a starter + a service charge it was Β£41.

This has become my first choice restaurant whenever I meet up with friends. The salmon flavor in the pasta is very rich, and the noodles are cooked to the perfect firmness.

To be honest, I was really disappointed. The food was pretty poor and service couldβve been better (can understand this may be down to management) . For the starters we asked for olives to come before the main, however we waited a good half an hour, and no olives arrived. At this point, we asked for them to change the starter to antipastiβ¦but this still did not come in time, a it did not adrive until our mains came out. We also saw a couple who came after we arrived being served pretty immediately, so just felt a little saddening. We wanted to feed this back at the time but no one actually asked us how the meal went at any point at the night, I feel this is common decency. I would not come again, nor recommend. It was very mediocre and the food felt frozen and bland. The only thing that was good was bottles of beer. Disappointed is an understatement. Itβs a shame because the location and layout has so much potential!

Pre theatre dinner. Our wait time was reasonable considering it was busy on our visit. Outside seating was very popular as it was a sunny day. Food was tasty. Staff friendly. Bathroom facilities typical for town.

First place we stopped to eat after a long trip from Canada to Nottingham. staff: friendly waitress. Worked hard as she was the only waitress for a the first bit of our stay. service: when we got there it was not busy - we got a table right away and they even were gracious to move us inside when it got chill outside. establishment: a few outdoor open tables. Inside is small and cozy - maybe only about a dozen tables or so. Bathrooms - European Oy small - but unkempt. Sink and toilet with stains - not enough paper towels. To be fair - we have noticed this at various establishments we have been to - maybe itβs a Nottingham thing to not have clean bathrooms for customers. we are used to Canada clean standards as comparison. food: pizza & pasta had great size/portion. The food itself was a little bit bland. The tomato & onion salad was a good portion and the vinaigrette dressing was very good. We asked for a to-go box for some pasta - we got a plastic used (hopefully clean) butter container wrapped in tinfoil. Is taking home leftovers not a thing in Nottingham?

All I can say is wow! Β£9.95 for any pasta dish and glass of wine between 12-6pm. The pasta is all homemade and the smell is to die for. Would highly recommend it if you are a fan of Italian cuisine! Food quality βββββ Cleanliness βββββ Wait time β β ββ Atmosphere β β β β Service βββββ
