   We got a meal here on a Sunday evening. We ordered food for 3 adults with a little extra for the children to try and some chips to add to the food we’d bought from the shop for the kids. When we got home, there were two boxes of rice rather than the chips for the kids and the food can only be described as mushy and oily. Didn’t really have much flavour and the beef in particular was swimming in oil, as in several mm of visible oil. Would not recommend.

   Service was lovely. Food was nice and hot when collecting and all tasted lush APART FROM the crispy chilli beef. The sauce tasted like it was made of just vinegar and was too overpowering to even sniff, let alone eat. Such a shame as It was crispy, and ppentyful amount, just wayyy too acidic.

   UPDATED: 2nd time ordering - food was not great. Singapore fried rice is supposed to have prawns & other meats - there was 1 prawn and no meat in it. Chips were dry. Pork & chicken balls were dry and more batter than meat. Honey & garlic ribs are supposed to be covered in a sticky sauce but they were sat in a water & oil mix. As shown in photos. All meals were not hot when delivered either. Will NOT be returning ever again. Called them to complain to no avail - all of a sudden it was difficult to understand me. Only giving 1 star as Google won’t allow 0 stars. 1st time ordering: Food was lovely and well made. However the experience this time round wasn’t so nice. My son had ordered duck in plum sauce and thankfully it was me who plated his food, as the polystyrene tub that the sauce came in had melted and the lid fused because the sauce was extremely overheated. As I picked it up out of the box it was delivered in, it all broke and the sauce scolded my hand. I’m all for having hot food delivered but there is a limit and this was just clearly way too hot! I called Modbury Chinese to let them know what happened but she wasnt very concerned and quite unsympathetic, more so interested in telling me how the chef cooks the food……..just thankful it wasn’t my son.

   Nothing memorable to say. Asked if the spring rolls were vegetarian and the lady said yes, then I found meat at home when I started eating.

   I have never had a bad experience or had to return food. Usually get free pawn crackers, which is the difference between 4 and 5 star on this occasion. What they do, they do well but don't expect a groundbreaking culinary experience at this price point.

   Ordered from here for the first time, was very impressed with honey mustard chicken (personal favourite) the Singapore vermicelli was tasty, not too spicy. The beef chow mein was very nice. Generous with the meat servings. Will order from here again
