“1 of the best deli counters I have seen the shop is well stocked with lots of goodies and the staff are brilliant, try their home made homity pies and sausage rolls they are filling and tasty.”

“We came here for our nieces 18th birthday, we had the little bar to ourselves which was very nice the main bar looked good, and we would like to come back for a meal as we had some food provided which was really nice. Nice place to visit and we will be back again.”

“This wonderful gem in Ivybridge is excellent they did a birthday party buffet for me in August nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious plenty of it and the gluten free and vegetarian clearly marked and good choices very one commented on how good it was. The staff are so helpful and atmosphere in the shop is so friendly highly recommend”

“8 of us went for Sunday lunch, the food and service were amazing. The main highlights were the meat, I had the Beef but other members of the party had the Lamb and the Pork, all of us commentated on how good the meat was, the other highlights were the cauliflower cheese, which comes as standard, as does the yorksire puds and the unlimited gravy. Will most definitely be going again.”

“We were glamping at Harford in an amazing safari tent and decided to call in to get a whole sea bass for our BBQ dinner. The fish was super fresh, caught that morning and delicious!! Thanks S&J for providing such a great service to us. We called in out the blue and put in our request. You demonstrated amazing customer service by listening to what we wanted and prepping the fish exactly how we needed it! The whole fish was perfectly prepared by S&J making it super easy to cook at our glamping facilities for dinner. It was soo delicious we will certainly come back again for more seafood! Great friendly, welcoming service providing best quality seafood!! Thank you!!”

“Absolute top-tier coffee. Have used them on and off for a few years now. Not sure why we ever stopped as the service and coffee is excellent. Really great range of organic coffee beans delivered to your door! The new Coast coffee is 10/10 and replaced as our favour to Baya (still a solid coffee though). Most recently had an issue with our subscription (due to Shopify messing with the cards) had to call them to sort and both the women I spoke with were really helpful. Got it sorted quickly and send the beans the next day. Great that it is roasted in the UK and seems that we get deliveries close the roast date for added freshness! 100% worth giving them a try, I think they sell a exploring/tasting pack (or used to)”

“We broke down just outside here and went in for a place to shelter. The staff were so kind and welcoming, which was exactly what we needed in a stressful situation! They made us a lovely pot of tea, followed by the most wonderful and comforting soup. This felt like an absolute blessing; thank you so much to the absolute angels who work here! :)”

“Great portion sizes. Great fish and chips! Can’t go wrong! Polite staff and nice place! Only down side is parking and it’s on a one way street but there are places around that you can put your car whilst you get your food. They were super quick when I got mine!”

“Gareth was friendly and helpful from as soon as I walked in the door, was really accommodating and nothing was too big a task. The bed was very comfy and the bath was just lovely in room 2. Very clean, and breakfast was done to my liking as I had asked. Absolute hidden gem will definetely recommend to others! Thank you!”

“We just stumbled upon this pub, whilst exploring the village a few Sundays ago, and asked we could have a lunch, met the owner who had recently taken over the pub, we sat in the bar because kit was last minute & the restaurant was full. We both had the roast & shared a cheese board, amazing food, well presented, good service, we will definitely return to sample the menu, and it was reasonable price, seems like they have a good chef, well done.”

“What a lovely welcome local café, the staff and supper friendly and welcoming. The food is out of the most world too. Been here a few times now, so great for a late breakfast or a stop when out walking and a cheeky cake. There is 3 choices of seating, outside the café under the covered walk way, inside the café or in the back covered area where you can open a sliding door and hear the river go bye. Dog friendly and wife friendly too.”

“Had a Carvery there today, it was so tasty. I haven't been there since before lockdown and it's even tastier now. They had x2 meats on, which is ok for me but I know some prefer more choice. Staff were very cheery and pleasant. Definitely worth the trip from Plymouth.”
